Seems like a great kid and teammate. Listening to this interview you get a feel that he’s competitive and likes a challenge. I’ll take a kid like this every day. He’s also a point guard. George could get injured and you would be left with only a freshman Fennell and JJ playing point. I get Red’s thinking here.

You better hope your assumption of “emergency depth” is correct. I don’t trust Red to use our roster correctly. On the surface yes he is bottom of the bench, but Red will be Red.

Exactly. People want to be upset but the walk ons are going the way of the dinosaur. Now the unknown JUCO guy is the walkon, not some random kid that was walking around campus that played in HS.

If that's what the rest of the league is doing then that's what we gotta do.

I'll answer this signing with a big fat YAWN. You know a recruit doesn't bring much to the table when it's said he "will bring grit and depth to the backcourt". So, in all we got George, a .500 team's starting PG, but to get him we had to take his buddy Ibrahim who is a benchwarmer. Kingz is about as average as it gets. Kyle is a third-stringer. Sorry I'm as big of an Orange supporter there is but I don't see this team being any better than a .500 team this coming season.

A previous team’s record has nothing to do with the quality of a transfer. This whole post is negative hyperbole. Skepticism is fair but outside a Duke sized budget no idea what you think is a much better roster.

Kingz is long and rangy and won’t be undersized as a 3 nor is he just a spot up catch and shoot guy. Not to mention George is solid as a PG on the boards

Again, it's really not that difficult. For some, at least.

Amazing how terrible some people are on here. The kid earned a scholarship to play division 1 basketball which the majority of this board has never sniffed playing division 1 anything and yet you find a way to trash the kid and the program for bringing him in? How about be happy for the kid because he obviously brings a lot to the table for him to have an offer to come here. Not everything is about stats always. And it’s not like this has been a national championship program the last 10 years. Imagine if this kid saw some of these posts. End of rant
