What's his court IQ, can he dribble and play man defense. That's all that matters.
Amazing how terrible some people are on here. The kid earned a scholarship to play division 1 basketball which the majority of this board has never sniffed playing division 1 anything and yet you find a way to trash the kid and the program for bringing him in? How about be happy for the kid because he obviously brings a lot to the table for him to have an offer to come here. Not everything is about stats always. And it’s not like this has been a national championship program the last 10 years. Imagine if this kid saw some of these posts. End of rant
Imagine getting chastised for having a different opinion.
I guess we should just blindly accept whatever Kline and Red do because they know better than us.
You know it’s perfectly ok for you to be happy with a decision they make. It’s also perfectly ok for someone else to not like a certain decision and question it.
I'm with you, but to tell the truth, now that these kids are being paid, it opens up a different way of thinking.Amazing how terrible some people are on here. Under the best of circumstances, you need 10 players to scrimmage. But we all know things happen during a long season. Players drop out, flunk out, freak out, get suspended, go into the portal mid semester, get hurt, get sick, etc.if he’s just another practice body how is it bad?
Imagine sh***tting on a kid you know next to nothing about. And passive-aggressively, at that.Imagine getting chastised for having a different opinion.

Sure. And it's ok to think that opinion is misguided. If anyone thinks we were going to get anyone who is any sort of contributor for the 12th scholarship on the roster then idk what world anyone's living in. Duke's 12th guy is someone named Neal Begovich who came from Stanford and played 36 games his entire career.Imagine getting chastised for having a different opinion.

BUT HE SAID LIFE CHANGING OFFERSure. And it's ok to think that opinion is misguided. You either only want elite players or your filling out the 12th spot and on with roster fillers.

Oh wait, I don't have to imagine.
This is why I made that "we have a lot of scholarships" thread to acknowledge that with as much room on the roster we have we were probably going to see some pickups that seem like reaches and weird flyers, but that's ok.People complain when Dasher says we probably won't be able to use all of our scholarships and then complain when we get a guy that's clearly depth lol, exactly the type you'd be getting with those scholarships we were afraid would go unused.
ah good another clowns-out-in-force thread
You call it sh***tting on him, I call it having an opinion. Just one you don’t like. These dudes are getting paid. We don’t have to handle them with kid gloves anymore.
All judgements and opinion won’t matter at this point anyway. If Red can put this all together and get us to the tourney nobody will remember what we thought about the Bryce Zephyr signing.
A voice of reason, we had at least 3 players last season who at various times couldn't play . Actually 4 because Chance was always a non practice player.Under the best of circumstances, you need 10 players to scrimmage. But we all know things happen during a long season. Players drop out, flunk out, freak out, get suspended, go into the portal mid semester, get hurt, get sick, etc.
We would all like to have a roster of 15 4 star players but in this day, it isn’t going to happen. Good players want to play right away.
The smart move is to find serviceable players who can contribute during practice, who know their role and are okay doing it.
Just as an aside though, I read this guy shot 39% and 50% from 3 the seasons before last, when he shot 29%. No idea what happened with him but it is possible he is going to be a far better shooter than we might think.
Filling out a roster these days means taking a player or two like this guy. His presence isn’t going to scare anyone else from committing and takes us a step closer to a complete roster.
BUT HE SAID LIFE CHANGING OFFER
The people on the show Yellowstone seemed pretty happy there till they had to sell the place so there is that.Any chance to leave Montana is life changing.
And if you’re poor (I don’t know if Zephir is), life changing money can mean anything or even just a chance to get a life changing free education at a good university.Maybe the "life changing offer" has to do with the teams NIL revenue split from the NIL tournament they will be playing in next season
I can attest to that. I spent 4 miserable months in Billings about 15 years ago.Any chance to leave Montana is life changing.
My opinion is that you are insufferable. But it's just my opinion.

For him, it may have been. Doubt he was getting more than McDonald’s gift cards last season.“they gave me a life changing offer”
