the coach is the issue. It isn’t Rickie at this point literally everyone knows he is terrible.

I now agree with this. No other team in P4 would be playing Collins right now. He is objectively worse on film than watching him live. Most if not all P4 coaches would have moved on by now and given someone else a chance.

Loyalty to a fault,

Sticking with a QB who is the worst P4 QB right now
Sticking with a D-Coordinator who is close to be the worst in P4 as well...

Rickie just gave up on that first down. Sorry watching bad pass after bad pass is one thing, but any QB in P4 would’ve picked up that first down, or at least would’ve tried.

If Fran can’t see that Rickie has zero feel for the game and zero toughness then he is as bad as Collins.

As I said earlier in this thread, Fran and our GM put together a quarterback room that consisted of one good quarterback, one terrible quarterback, and several guys who get paid NIL money but (apparently) aren’t good enough to play ahead of the terrible quarterback.

And these guys get paid good money to make those type of bad decisions.

I get the D looks terrible, but honestly, are they losing focus because they know the offense can’t score?! That’s got to wear on them after a while.
