Game 1 Depth Chart / Game Notes | Tennessee

If you include Boobie on 2 deep, there are 5-6 freshman that are there already. Not because of depth issues, it’s a sign of the talent improving across the board.

I Don't know Jack about this Jack position ...what does it stand for? Jack of all trades lol
It’s basically a hybrid DE/OLB that allows the defence to switch between 3-man and 4-man fronts without substituting personnel. Just gives us more flexibility and makes us less predictable.

So Jack of All Trades isn’t far off.

If we can keep our kids and add a few pieces next season has a chance to be special. Not saying this one doesnt but next year could be really good
Do you think that a 9-3 record with this year's schedule would be more impressive than an 11-1 record next year? More of a philosophical question, but interesting when weighing W-L record versus SoS and then determining how good a team is (happens every week/year with rankings, playoff seedings, etc.).

This doesn't take into account all the changes our opponents may endure, etc. Just a general, "fun" question.

ACC should prioritize ND at Syracuse game 1 next year.

David Reese is roaming. He’s 25! Not enough people are reacting to that.

For what it's worth- I called Deslauriers as a starter on signing day!

The front seven is deep and much bigger than last year. Seems like we are still short at edge, surprised not to see Nyandoro or Gillian's.

Fran fooled everyone saying Kerr was the starting star- according to the depth chart he's backup CB behind Peal.

9-3 with this schedule ans roster turnover would be extremely impressive.

Deslauriers is an absolute unit. This team is built for speed (quite literally). That’s not McDonald’s strength. I love this move. In the words of Mickey Goldmill: “We need speed… greasy fast speed.”

Let’s goooo!

If I recall, there was a camp highlight or two showing him in coverage on a receiver downfield. Might not have been super tight coverage, but it is still impressive (especially given the general speed of our receiving corps).

Interesting that woody and brown beat out starters on special team...hoping specials are well special this year.
