For sure, he's not as far down as Simmons, should have clarified that.
Simmons is a TE now.

He must be very goodThe only surprise really is that Antoine got the start over McDonald. I knew he would be playing a lot but to be named the starter is pretty crazy.
Heard he’s a beast at stopping the run and really gets downhill. He must be very good
Excited for Deslauriers for sure. The only surprise really is that Antoine got the start over McDonald. I knew he would be playing a lot but to be named the starter is pretty crazy.
Make sure not to look at text messages, social media, etc til your caught upI'm going to torture myself a little and take my kids to their ice skating lesson, which starts right at kickoff so I'll be recording the first Q at least. When we get home then I'll catch up. Need to avoid anyone sending me updates.
He was the primary defender on a long Boobie reception. No way a LB who is 240 should be covering a wideout 30 yards downfield... But there Deslauriers was, only a step behind. Boobie had to make a nice catch to beat the coverage. If I recall, there was a highlight or two showing him in coverage on a receiver downfield. Might not have been super tight coverage, but it is still impressive (especially given the general speed of our receiving corps).
That's the highlight I was primarily referencing. Impressive! He was the primary defender on a long Boobie reception. No way a LB who is 240 should be covering a wideout 30 yards downfield... But there Deslauriers was, only a step behind. Boobie had to make a nice catch to beat the coverage.
If that is typical of Deslauriers coverage ability and he's a good run stopper, no wonder he's starting his first college game.
I think he said he was the starting nickel which he still could be. He’s likely the 3rd corner. For what it's worth- I called Deslauriers as a starter on signing day!
The front seven is deep and much bigger than last year. Seems like we are still short at edge, surprised not to see Nyandoro or Gillian's.
Fran fooled everyone saying Kerr was the starting star- according to the depth chart he's backup CB behind Peal.
Lol I've actually got a few folks I've already texted to let them know not to message me until after halftime.Make sure not to look at text messages, social media, etc til your caught up
Yea basically meaning buxton comes out as the third safety and they put Kerr in as the third corner.I think he said he was the starting nickel which he still could be. He’s likely the 3rd corner.
The way it works is it will be someone random texting saying "can you believe what happened in the Cuse game..."Lol I've actually got a few folks I've already texted to let them know not to message me until after halftime.
Reminds me of this guy!
The croissant joke by JLD was the best line everBetter known (to me) as Dan Egan on Veep.
If you haven't watched that show, do it. I don't say this lightly, might be the funniest show I've ever watched.

By the time he’s done, he will be a monster.Thought Antoine played well at times. Adjustment to the game at college level is tough never mind playing an SEC team. He’s going to get a lot better as year goes on.
I dont think Grant had an ankle issue because if he did, he was running pretty hard on the sideline in fourth quarter trying to give it a go. He was just in some pain during the timeouts when I saw him try it. I think if it was a closer game or later in the year, he may have returned. It was smart to keep him out. What was the final injury report? Cook, Grant and Wilson? I know Wilson came back.
I think I saw Grant/Cook standing on sideline. Hopefully just lower ankle sprains. Nothing serious.
Wasn't Cook out almost the entire 2nd half. Hope he's back next week, or at by the Clemson game.I dont think Grant had an ankle issue because if he did, he was running pretty hard on the sideline in fourth quarter trying to give it a go. Wilson came back in the next series.
Cook did not return but I'm optimistic that was another precautionary situation.
Russell was a pleasant surprise to me in how he filled in there btw.
