Someone posted a thread to the effect that the defense was good and the offense was bad. I think we're going to see that a lot this year. Our defense is going to be sick and the offense is going to struggle some.
I think the key to playing Syracuse is to understand that it's going to be a rock fight when you have the ball. As a result, I would try above all else to prevent us from getting in transition because when we run out we are awfully tough to beat. So I'd basically tell our guards not to drive and to stay up top. If you're going inside, it has to be by a pass to the foul line or the post, or let a forward drive. But I'd have my guards playing free safety when we have the ball and do nothing more than jack up threes and distribute the ball from up top.
