Garrett Shrader Injury...

So if they knew he was hurt why wait till halftime to bring him out?
Can’t make a tough decision on the fly, it sometimes appears.

Would think would’ve been ready to make a quick hook going into the game though, if they came in already knowing he was hurt.

And that’s even going with the mentality that he “had” to start if he could somewhat go.

After that hard tackle that he wobbled getting up from (and I do think he may have taken a shot to the head somehow during that), he clearly had nada afterwards.

His passes were awful, and he just looked dazed.

Shoulda been pulled right after he went down, which maybe means that we don’t give the ball right back to ND with enough time to score another TD before the half.
3 ND TDs should’ve never happened and that was one of them.

I had wondered if I saw him stumble after that play and thought the same thing. He must have been cleared of a “head injury” , because I don’t think they would allow him on the sidelines if he had a true head injury.

The end zone angle replay they showed in the game showed his ankle get twisted under the defender. Then when he tried to stand on it he fell. I thought it was his head until they showed that replay. I think it was sometime on the first Syracuse drive in the 2nd half that they showed it?

It looked like he was favoring his right leg when he was walking on the sidelines in the second half.

I agree it was his ankle not his head. He was visibly limping badly at the end of the Clemson game and he was in a boot this week. Babers can sometimes be infuriating sticking with hurt underperforming starters when there are capable backups.

After his 9 yard rpo keeper he limped back to the huddle.

QB from here on out should be open competition

Who to play and who to take out and when, is above my pay grade. What was obvious to all who saw the game, Notre Dame’s players were bigger, faster and a whole bunch more of them! The better team won this contest.
My hope before the season was 7 wins and I will stick with it!

Makes the 4th down call before half even worse

What if we punted it into the end zone?

The defense had just given us a pick and plus field position. If you trot them out there after a touchback they are deflated. After going for it on 4th they will still be charged up.

The D was good on the long pass to Mayer that drive they just executed a big play to a future 1st round pick it was Pyne's only great throw I thought he kind of stunk. Clemson's QBs stunk too. We win both games if we give CDRW a chance sooner.

A dual QB system of CDRW getting most of the snaps and GS (healthy) for run plays would be phenomenal if that is what we end up with next year.

There was little to no chance of converting there with a healthy Shrader.

Watch the replay from the back. It's his right ankle. He tried to put weight on it and crumpled. It wasn't his head.
On TV he was at the edge of the shot when he collapsed, and they panned right away from it.

It was his ankle

On his last drive he got kneed in the head while being tackled. He stood up and fell right back down. He does have a head injury. If Dino gave Wilson a C, then Shrader had to get an . He scored 7points for both teams in the first half.
He gave Wilson a C?

Cool. Thanks for sharing.

Wilson didn’t win the game so no A. He was 50 percent throwing with an int/td. Some of the incompletes were drops. He had a few good scrambles. His pass to Hatcher was sweet. This wasn’t Devito coming in freshman year and getting the win against NC with 3 tds. C/C plus feels right. He shows promise. Next week he will get the whole game.

Shrader can't play with a high ankle sprain, he'll get killed out there. He shouldn't have played today, it was a very bad decision. I really don't think he will play the rest of the season.
