GAWD...The Big East just sucks this year.

I'll give you Drummond and Lamb, as they are clearly NBA players. I don't think another guy on the roster sticks in the NBA, though. Oriakhi will get a look, but I don't think he sticks.
I'mnot so sure about Drummond ... last night he really wasn't there and I've seen a couple of other games in which he hasn't shown up... yeah he would get drafted ... no question. But he really does look lost at times. ... and I'm not sure he is playing NBA caliber ball right now. He looks like a kid who is just learning his position at the college level ... one and done? I'm not sure of that... but if not he will be a monster next year.

Drummond looks like Fab last year...which is pretty bad. Yea we all assume he will put it together but I suspect he might take a Fab trajectory if Fab leaves after this year which means you will never see Drummond's full collegiate potential at UCONN.

It's the NBDL, home of Hasheem Thabeet and eternal loser Andy Rautins (what a horrible draft pick by the Knicks).

Wow--a uconn fan coming over to our board to talk trash, on the heels of getting swept by Seton Hall / Rutgers on their NJ road trip.

Which is what I expected. Hard to see the full potential of anyone if they only play 30-40 games.

After the game last night he said he would return to UConn next year. I'll believe it when I see it.

Many people poopoo'd my "SU is head and shoulders above the rest of the Big East" thread. I see more of you are beginning to come around. ;)

It's as foolish a sentiment today as it was last week when you posted it. Perhaps more foolish, now that we've seen how difficult it is to beat even the last-place team in the league on its home floor.

Louisville is falling backwards
Pitt having a down year
Villanova having a down year
UConn having a down year (despite being ranked 8)
St Johns is...meh
ND is...meh
..
EDIT: West Virginia and Georgetown are meh too...

Maybe its just me, but I can't wait to get all our sports the hell out of this conference.

You should take a closer look at how bad the conference SU is going to is.

No doubt...

My "can't wait" statement was more of a general indictment on the conference as a whole, not just B-Ball. I'm just exhausted with the Big East and was ready to move yesterday

Similar to the feeling you get when you give your 2-week notice. While excited to leave, you just have to plow through the next two weeks with dread...

I feel you.

But I DO get the impression that we got a monkey off of our back today. A lot of things went right for Marquette today in how the game played out, and we still won by 7. I got nervous when they cut it to two, worrying about how our kids would respond, whether they'd be thinking 'uh oh...here we go again,' but they got the job done.
I agree, but we still have Pitt and Louisville. To me those two plus Marquette are the same team with different uniforms.

He's 6'11'' and 18 years old. Moves like a small forward and has tree trunks for legs.

The NBA literally throws guaranteed 3 year contracts at those types of guys. It's up to him to stick in the NBA, but those types of guys don't grow on trees.

Drummond is way ahead of where Melo was last year.
