He's stunk in ACC play. We are 0-4. It's not because of Trevor Cooney.
Lousy ending.
Score isn't indicative of how this game was played. Proud of the effort, hope we can sustain the rebounding moving forward.
Moral victories aren't going to get us in the tournament.
Which tournament? At this point not sure we will make the NIT. Is the CBI still around?Moral victories aren't going to get us in the tournament.

This +1000. He is a decent player, but not a pg. The Kaleb recruiting miss is really killing us because we dont have a pg. We don't get any easy baskets because G can't create. It's the main reason we collapse at the end when the D tightens upThis was talked about in the game thread. He's not a lead guard. When playing against quicker, better, and better defensive GUARDS he struggles. He needs to hit his jumpers. Otherwise it's more of the dribbling around and not going anywhere since he can't get by a lot of good ACC guards, imo.
The other team has way more talent. We played much better than I expected.
Cooney almost beat NC and the refs single handedly. Gbinije looks like hes been blazing it before the last few games.

Hes lit it up and been big for us against big teams including virginia and duke before. Lets not act like he doesnt show up.
It's hard to figure out, I realize the guys guarding him are quicker, which effects his ability to score/make plays off the bounce, but he's missing shots - wide open or otherwise, that he usually makes. He's not finishing very well of late either even when he does get inside.
His passing has been crap too - even basic bounce passes seem to lack much in the way crispness. He was rebounding pretty well though prior to tonight - didn't notice him as much in that area tonight either.
He's been the difference maker of late - and not in a good way. The missed free throws, no-show tonight...not good. Hopefully he rebounds next game.
I'd like to see him stop taking those shots. Focus on facilitating the offense and let the shots come elsewhere - driving to the hoop was pretty good tonight when he got it going in the second half. Glad to see he was better from the line tonight too.
Eh, open shots, you have to take them. It's the same with TC. No matter how much they're struggling, if they're open, take it. We need those guys too much with their court time. Same with Mali. He had a streak where he couldn't hit anything - and now he's on fire again.
