I just read this on ESPN.com.

The former SU OC is the Ole Miss passing game coordinator.

Wow.

He is headed to LSU to join Lane Kiffin - at some point.

So many former SU coaches out there - doing well.

Elite recruiter and needs a second title to pay for salary and stroke ego…oh and Cuse is top 3 hardest p4 jobs and therefore you do your time here, you’re bound to be better than when you left

It is kind of interesting seeing the football tree compared to the basketball one out there coaching. I know there are a lot more football assistants but still, the football list is quite impressive.

I’m not implying that you are saying this, but would this at least suggest that as far as coaching goes, the problem at SU has not been the crew…it has been the captain (Head Coach)?

Football coaching circle is very tight. Guys give each other jobs and support each other. Plus there are so many assistant jobs that it’s easy to rotate around if you find the right specialty and don’t care about being a coordinator at the highest level. The exception is probably OL coaches. Hardest gig and tends to be the one with most spotlight at the position level.

So, it is easier for a single coach to find a good fit for themselves as opposed to a head coach to find multiple good fits for their staff? Makes sense given the number of coaches on a typical staff these days. Thanks!
