the fact he came in soon after the 2nd q started may not be a coincidence. team rules, etc. possibly.I get that Kuczyinski made a boneheaded play, but he’s a kid that has made a career out of being physical and it was a bang-bang play, but are we not going to talk about how stupid our coaches (adults) must be to have 1 week to come up with game plan in which they decide not play Anderson in the 1st quarter?! That’s inexcusable, and one of the worst coaching decisions I’ve ever seen. Not everyone needs to be as big of an Anderson fan as I am (I was pleading for the coaches to play him more last year), but how do we not even play him in the entire 1st quarter? He has the highest shooting percentage of any of our main offensive players on the team! (2nd is Thomson but almost all of his goals are assisted shots right from the crease). Anderson can shoot at a high percentage (with both hands), can pass, can dodge and get an unassisted goal, and can dodge and draw a slide and then get the hockey assist. I think he’s one of the best players on our team to do all 4 of those things, and our coaches bench him? We’re lucky that he seems like a good kid and a team-first kid because that’s the kind of coaching decision that makes a kid lose confidence and then transfer… He’s a future All American, and the only thing holding him back is our coaches. He needs More touches, not a benching! Coaches- just put your best players on the field, and then stay out of their way…
someone also noted in warmups he had to come out of them for a bit.
