Injuries this year make that a hard question to answer. Siena played their tournament with 5 starters and Jones playing 4-5 minutes a game.

The big difference is before Donovan they had gone to a Final Four, a tournament, and then had a losing season that got their coach fired. We've had 5 years in the wilderness (3 of which Gerry was partially responsible).

When Donovan took over, he had two under .500 seasons before getting Florida to the tournament.

If Gerry came in and had two straight losing seasons with the way this program is currently, he'd be fired.

Settling is going for Hop. Who didn’t improve his team while Gmac obviously did. If u r talking bennett or Jay Wright or even pearl im with ya. Hodg has a year more head coaching so what’s the difference. Tell me it wouldn’t be EPIC for Gmac to turn us around into top ten school every year if he could. Dome would be nut so.

The part of G-Mac that I don't have the answer but that can't be ignored as a big factor to is how much of a boost to NIL would hiring McNamara have over rando with promising resume but no Syracuse ties (i.e. Phil Martelli Jr.).
