I hope this is a belated April Fool's joke.I sort of liked Engelstad. Just a big time presence on the bench this year. Hard to replace that.

I have no problem admitting I was wrong. Things are heading in the right direction. Hopefully, the player side will be equally as well-conceived. LGO!I’ll admit it .. I was wrong about Gerry
Agree. I was speaking specifically about BB. SU was late to the party with football, too. But the financial commitment has been there since the hiring of Fran. FB, without question, drives the bus. The BB program will also generate revenue with the right staff and roster. Finally - fingers crossed - rowing in the same direction.Basketball probably but I don’t think Haynie played a role in Fran getting significantly increased budget for Assistants. I think that was all John.
As he should...Gerry will probably do a weekly poll on this forum looking for advice on what he should be doing.![]()
I would expect that to be the case. Any administrator that has looked at the empty seats the last several years should realize the consequences of not ponying up the money. As much as we want to give GMAC kudos for bringing these guys in as Assistants, let’s not forget the money Syracuse is putting into it. I’m sure these two guys aren’t coming cheap simply because they are recognized as young up and coming coaches who in two or three years will probably head off to be head coaches at their own programs. I’m sure Gerry sold them on a vision and how they can advance their careers with his help. Syracuse ponied up the money for Fran to bring in higher paid Assistants, and I’m sure they’ll do the same for Gerry, regardless of how the staff closes out.

The rev share hit combined with the loss in attendance for both FB and BB this year was the ultimate wake up call.I would expect that to be the case. Any administrator that has looked at the empty seats the last several years should realize the consequences of not ponying up the money.
GM?He did say NBA experience. We haven’t seen that hire yet
Is he rehiring Corasaniti? Is that known? Wish AO had a bigger role. But so far so good. This is what happens when I run to the grocery store after spending the past 3 days refreshing, refreshing, refreshing...HC: McNamara
Assistant: Brunt
Assistant: Daly
Assistant: Lee (?)
*Assistant: Blackwell (?)
Operations: Corasaniti
*Special Assistant to Head Coach:
GM: OPEN
*Player Development 1: Onuaku (?)
*Player Development 2: OPEN
* Denotes new positions potentially. Can't confirm the player development positions will be added, but every other big-time program has them. And many higher mid-major type programs do too. Also added the 4th assistant based on a prior post.
The fact that this program has been operating with the staffing it has is negligence.
He can just call me directly...As he should...
Yes, I believe he's hiring Pete.Is he rehiring Corasaniti? Is that known? Wish AO had a bigger role. But so far so good. This is what happens when I run to the grocery store after spending the past 3 days refreshing, refreshing, refreshing...
Talking in the third person again?Yes, I believe he's hiring Pete.

AgreedShaping up to be a great coaching staff. Good mix of outside the family and inside the family. Up-and-coming coaches ready to work hard and make a name for themselves.
Now, let's bring in some REAL NBA talent and get this program back to where it should be.
I saw Kayden Mingo get seven steals in the first half of a game I was at this season. Very impressive energy and defense. So next question is if there’s anybody that might want to follow these guys here. VCU has a lot intriguing guys for consideration and more shooters especially. PSU really only has Kayden Mingo who was a top 40 prospect and of course his brother is a UNC commit for now. Kayden had a decent season but is not at all a shooter.
It’s possible no one follows an AC just would be interesting if there is a possibility with either.

Can you expand on that? Just curious on how you came to that conclusion, unless, it was just a late April 1st joke.I sort of liked Engelstad. Just a big time presence on the bench this year. Hard to replace that.
