Did you completely miss this? We hired a new S&C coach last year, Rob Harris, and by all accounts he seems to be doing a fantastic job. (Red fired Ryan Cabiles last spring.) Seems like Gmac will probably retain Harris.

Jackson played PF for a while. AO could never play a minute at PF.

Listen, I love AO. If he didn’t get hurt, we have a second banner and probably beat that Duke team by 15 on a bad night. But AO was not particularly mobile. He was powerful, he could throw his weight around. I never thought of him as athletic, though.

For a big he was. Ya know. For a forward he wasn’t I agree. We had Forth and Hill and they were very unathletic. Bouie and Seikaly were the most athletic with Christmas and AO right behind them in my opinion.

I didn't notice any notable improvements in strength in the team this year. I was using Donnie as a litmus test too... he still got the ball ripped away from him by smaller guards and PG's regularly this year. It was a bit embarrassing...

I'm not throwing Harris under the bus by any means, as he's been here for a hot minute, and I question if S&C + diet/nutrition was ever a really cultural priority for Autry.

I don’t know it I would use Donnie as the litmus here. If he trains like he plays, maybe he’s not giving it his all. I could definitely see that being the case.

Who we hopefully can see some improvements is a guy like Sadiq. Seems to have the motor to really improve year 2 if he stays. Which I hope he does…unfortunately, you can’t always improve motor.

I completely agree with you. Donnie SHOULD have been training hard on strength and conditioning. But we also saw Donnie’s…lack of motor..is a real issue on the court, maybe his approach to training isn’t much better is all I’m saying.

Sadiq strikes me as the kinda of kid that lives in the gym. He just needs some coaching and of course get stronger. I’m sure AO will do wonders for this kid should he stay.

I was encouraged with White’s shooting improvement. His three improved later in the season.

2 years of Freeman is enough for me injury prone doesn't bang wants to be a shooting guard. Doesn't pass well or put the ball on the floor to beat his man. Not a great defender let him go somewhere else even if
he does decide to grow up let it be somewhere else.

The way you worded it, it didn’t seem that you didn’t know Harris had been hired to replace Cabiles last summer. My bad if you were aware of that.

I thought only Corasanti was verified. I guess we’ll know more tomorrow.
