Do u think he has improved at all over his career and if so….what?
Yes, but the weaknesses he came in with remain his weaknesses, it that makes sense.Do u think he has improved at all over his career and if so….what?
I wish we barely saw him play his first 2 years. He was thrust into a lousy spot from his first game.Agree with the gist of what everyone is saying. Wish we could have seen him play off the ball for four years with legit bigs/wings
Cooney was far better on defense though.I was just thinking Joe would be a great player coming off the bench on a good SU team. Then I remembered Cooney, who obviously was a starter. Looking at their stats just now, I was a little surprised how Joe is better in just about every category (comparing last year to Cooney's senior year).
Points: 13.8 versus 12.9
FG %: 39.2 versus 34.8
3pt %: 40.3 versus 35.4
FT %: 88.2 versus 80.6
Assists: 4.2 versus 2.3
The only category Cooney was better in was turnovers, 1.5 versus 2.8.
I think I forget how Cooney used to frustrate me just as much as Joe does at times. I think it comes down to when Joe feels like he has to be the offense - then he starts chucking the ball up too much and his shot selection sucks.
38% shooter from 2 pt range
36% from 3
may have to join stathead to find the number of guys who shoot that low taking 10 shots a game and 6 per game from 3
And Coondog could throw down his 2 foot 2 handers off steals tooCooney was far better on defense though.
What about steals?I was just thinking Joe would be a great player coming off the bench on a good SU team. Then I remembered Cooney, who obviously was a starter. They had the same steals on average. Joe had 1.6 steals per game last year. Cooney had 1.6 his senior year. What about steals?
Is being a bad defender the same as be an unwilling defender?good shooter, seems like a good kid. just not a great athlete and is a poor defender.
