Give me a reason to think there is another win on the schedule

Army is 2-3 and just got shutout by Troy
Purdue is 2-5.

I take nothing from the first 4 games personally. We beat 4 bad teams and lost to 3 good teams.

well see how the rest of the year goes
To me it screams .500 ball. And if any team could find a way to go 2.5-2.5, it's us.

In seven years Babers teams have won more than two out of the final six games once. That being the 2018 team. Also historically at Syracuse, his teams have been no balls of fire coming out of a bye week. In my very humble opinion, getting to six wins is going to be tough.

Not sure if it is accurate but I saw a tweet that stated we had the easiest SOS remaining of any P5

Who are our weapons on offense?

Shrader as a runner when not being spied. Subpar with the arm.

LeQuint but he needs a few blocks.

Villari perhaps emerging at TE.

Not a single wideout that would worry an oppsing defensive coordinator.

Is it really surprising that we struggle to score?

And it won’t be a lot better against the remaining schedule.

Like our D, but they carry a heavy load

I'm really surprised Damarcus Adams has played so sparingly. Hatcher, Brown, and Alford have had good games here and there. By and large so far is an underwhelming and inconsistent group without OG.

I don’t get the crazy expectations

Like I’m going to Maui and the VT game but I just want some wins.

Not some irrational desire for us to turn into Alabama for football.

I went to the Clemson game last year we almost won. Some of the morons on here throwing themselves off the bridge suck calm down you losers were in most games and look ok.

Whatever way you slice it this is the easiest remaining schedule of any P5 program per ESPN. UNC and FSU are legit top 10, maybe even better programs. Clemson has top 10 talent and easily could be ranked inside the top 10 as well. I think we will see at the end of the season just how tough that 3 game stretch was. How we played was still extremely disappointing, but the drop off in talent will be evident.

Pitt showed up against Louisville, but Narduzzi also kept his guys in pads over their bye week. They made a change at QB, but still are not good. None of these remaining teams are good, but i can definitely see us playing down to our competition because we have shown not to show up against the best in the conference. I do think most of these teams are on par with Purdue, so that gives me hope, but teams like Pitt, BC, and Wake are familiar playing against us, which throws a lot of any advantages out of the window. Still, this is the healthiest we have been coming down the stretch since 2018. I expect Shrader will be a lot better. There is no reason we don’t go 3-2. That will be a bit of a disappointment , but i would take it. 4-1 should be the goal and that would be a totally acceptable season, and a nice bowl game.

I don't understand why Villari gets a shout out as a potential weapon while Hatcher and Brown don't.

I really cannot envision the offense scoring with what I have seen

The recipe to beat Syracuse is to prevent GS from scrambling. Purdue apparently is not only bad this year but failed miserably to plan well for Syracuse. I would expect the remaining schools on the schedule will do much better. So Syracuse will need to find a way to score other ways. Can they? I don't share the confidence that others seem to have. Hope I'm wrong, but my expectation is 2 more wins. Anything more than that will be a pleasant surprise.

Because he had been absent until three weeks ago then showed more ability after the catch than anyone else has, and those guys have been known quantities, having made some plays but having also been part of the dropsy problem.

I think Hatcher emerges versus the rest of the schedule. He had two nice catches versus Florida State and a nice game against UNC.

So he's done less overall and was an ignored weapon until recently, but is considered a bigger weapon because he's gotten YAC on a few of his receptions.

We really need to just pass the ball better.

unless Shrader finds his groove passing the ball we might not win another game. Teams will not let him beat them on the ground.

I don't know if he was ignored or developing. When a guy hasn't played a position long and then shows promise, there may be more reason for hope than there is for the guys that have played it their whole career but haven't produced much. It's really about the potential. If Villari can't expand on the glimpses we've seen, he'll be forgetton.
