Great. Bc gets a proven winner. We get the guy from holy cross. He is well down my list. I think he ends up at Oregon State anyway.
Since we moved on from Coach P we have had a West Coast guy as HC 12 of 19 seasons and 3 seasons with a Midwest guy. Would be nice to have a Northeast guy for once. That is why I think we should go for Chesney or Golden as Plan B. Unless Chip becomes available. He has been out of the Northeast for awhile but he is from there and he is a BIG name which will help. I could see him taking a year off and then going to BC though.

Bronco would be my choice with Mullen out, largely because of the stakes. Bronco is a proven commodity. He's likely to get us to a level that maximizes our chances of being in the power conferences when the dust settles. Which is far from a guarantee that we make the cut, but it's the best we can do.
The other remaining candidates are all more of a gamble, at a time when we really can't afford to be gambling.
If Bronco is returning to coaching during this cycle I would bet on Oregon State as being the destination.
Maybe... but Oregon St is conference-less right now and projected to go to the Mountain West (non-P5) when the dust settles.
That's not all that attractive.
Also, a position we don't want to be in.
I get there is no chatter on our interest in Mendenhall, but am clutching at straws hoping something might be happening on the DL...
