Use whatever metrics you choose. Maybe you value team success more than personal stats, or vice versa. No ties - that's boring.

Mine:

1. John Elway
2. Joe Montana
3. Tom Brady
4. Peyton Manning
5. Johnny Unitas

Just on the cusp: Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Roger Staubach

1. Joe Montana
2. Otto Graham
3 Johnny Unitus
4. John Elway
5.Peyton Manning
5A. Tom Brady

Johnny Unitas
Randall Cunningham
Terry Bradshaw
Joe Montana
Norm Van Brocklin

1-Joe Montana
2-John Unitas
3-Peyton Manning
4-Bart Starr
5-John Elway

Johnny Unitas

Joe Montana

Otto Graham

Terry Bradshaw

Tom Brady

Btw I'm not a 'my list is right yours is wrong' kinda guy but I gotta think any list that doesn't contain both Brady and Manning (or at the very least one of the two) is a little silly.

Joe Montana
Brady
Peyton
Elway
Favre

Seriously any list without Montana no. 1 is goofy. 2-5 are irrelevant really

Manning has a losing record in the playoffs. In addition, many of those losses he was the favorite playing at home. He's got a ring so you can't downgrade him that much, but until he shows up more in some big spots in the playoffs, he's out of my Top 5.

In no particular order expect Montana ...

Montana
Unitas
Brady
Otto Graham
Starr

I wasn't alive during the Unitas days, so take my list with a grain of salt.

1. Unitas
2. Montana
3. Elway
4. Brady
5. Peyton Manning

I think Manning is one Super Bowl away from jumping into the top 3 though. Brady is another Super Bowl away from being 1 or 2.

To preface: I was born in 1980 and didn't REALLY start paying attention to the NFL until the early to mid 90s (growing up in Vermont, football isn't big). That said...

1. Joe Montana
2. Peyton Manning
3. John Elway
4. Johnny Unitas
5. Dan Marino

Tom Brady and Terry Bradshaw just miss my top 5. I know you could say Brady and Manning are interchangeable, but I just think from a cerebral level, Manning is so far above everyone else that he gets my nod.

Elway
Montana
Unitas
Brady
Manning

It's seriously goofy to say that about Montana. He had like 9 pro bowlers on O and more to work with than any of the rest, along with Walsh as the coach...

KGun
Flutie
Joe Ferguson
Anyone who beat up or injured, or tried to beat up or injure, Rob Johnson and/or JP Losman
Bubby Brister

Elway
Montana
Unitas
Brady
Manning

Snore...the dude won 4 Super Bowls and didn't so much as throw a pick in one...and beat Elway 55-10. Night night John Boy. :)
