I suppose part of that is whether he wanted the job. He may have preferred this option of not directly following JB, cutting Red off, and getting to learn the head coaching job outside the pressure cooker of an ACC program. He is a competitor, but might have been getting counsel to be prudent also. Frankly, he might need to step up from Siena before being ready for the ACC also. He is developing his own "staff" also to bring with him along these moves also.I mean it’s Siena and they won 4 games last year. The bar there is low.
I’m happy for Gerry but let’s give him some time before saying it was a mistake not to give him the SU job.
