Go over to Tiger Droppings...

Only a handful of people here gave cmu any credit. It was more about how crappy we played. Same thin you're seeing from those lsu fans.

Frankly I thought cmu was very well coached team with some talented kids.
Absolutely.

I believe I saw a stat during the game that up to yesterday's game, LSU had been penalized an avg. of 69 yards...so they were considerably over their average yesterday.

I really think the crowd noise effected them. They tried quick snaps, weren't set causing a number of their false start penalties and had to resort to hand signals they hadn't used that often.

i give CMU much credit...for multiple cheap shots that turned the game into what it became. and their fans can share that dick buffet for dinner

And Rush is a quality QB.

I agree, his performance was overlooked because of the hit on Eric Dungey. Ironic considering the probable insurmountable damage that losing their qb Rush on a hit like that would have on CMU this year.

CMU is solid, they played MSU just as tough as we played LSU. Again, we led 17-3 when Dungey got cheap shot. We win that game but at least that margin if he played all game. Wilson can't run Lester's offense and he had most of the PT.

Anyone using the penalties for an excuse can bite me.

We had our 5th string QB in. Our 5th string QB.

Reality is their OL lacked discipline and put them in a position where if we had Dungey the game would've been much more interesting. I'm happy with our performance though so I won't make excuses.

Edit: Also incredibly unimpressed with their D line.

Yep. I think he's going to at the very least be in an NFL camp when he's done with college, and has a great chance to earn a #2/3 or sc out team job on an NFL roster. He's got good size (6-3, 220) and throws the ball well, and accurately.

Their OL lacked discipline because our D wasn't rolling over. Line wasn't giving up ground at the line of attack, and our DBs were fighting, and swarming. We were getting pretty good penetration and preventing their OL from getting into the second level. Also, for the most part, their OL didn't open the holes in the middle as expected. All that equals frustration, and frustration leads to mistakes.

I coached football with a guy who played at LSU way back in the day. He would always tell me, "LSU's dream season would be go undefeated, beat Alabama in the national championship, and fire their head coach immediately after."
I have heard the same from several LSU fans I have met over the years. As a group, I will take LSU fans over most other fan bases. Every fan base has its numb skulls.

I am already looking forward to 2017 in Baton Rouge.

Agreed, their O-Line is disciplined, but when Steven and his pals refused to give in, the LSU O-Line got frustrated. Apparently our coaches are working our kids very well in the S&C department.

If Fournette did not have the cutback/acceleration combo, he would not have had nearly as many yards. It is hard to stop a Joe Morris the size of linebackers.

LSU not getting much credit for the SU win. They went from 8th to 9th in the AP poll.

Against Auburn: 43 yards total.
Against Ms State: 95 yards total.
Against us: 120 total yards.

A number of those penalty yards yesterday were for holding or pass interference. They got frustrated.

So you're telling me the better the team that they are playing is the more penalties they get. Right?

They aren't quite as nice and cordial as they were before the game. That's what happens when you play the top teams tough, they get pissed off. One of them told orange in va to off over an innocent comment that our team is maybe better than they thought.

LSU fans believe that game was as close as it was because of:

A) penalties
B) coaching

Had nothing to do with the opponent that played them, it had everything to do with them. If (as an opposing fan) you say "hey we're pretty good" they say "BS, we would have CRUSHED you if not for..."

Sounds a lot like our Syracuse basketball board. It's always an SU issue, and never has anything to do with how the other team imposed their will.

They were kind because they thought we were a sacrificial lamb, and because we don't play them much. If we played them yearly and played them tough, they would hate us.

In their minds, regardless of the outcome yesterday, we suck, because we have sucked for a long time. I personally think this game says more about us, than it does about them. That's just me being a fan though I guess!

i disagree, most real fans appreciate the effort of the opposing team, in games like this. sure they would hate us if we won. we are no different. penalties DID PLAY A ROLE, that does not negate how hard our guys play. all in all apparently it was great experience for them and us. how does one take that away? god i hate rookies that try to make a mountain from nothing. we played a great game ---move on from that, build on that and most of all appreciate what you saw and where we may going. most of all respect miles and lf

Their center had certainly gotten more than he bargained for from Steven and company. His hands were probably cramping up from constantly having to resort to grabbing handfuls of jersey most plays. You could see that guy was equal parts shook and in disbelief that refs were calling it.

Player green lakes today as some lsu guys where drinking outside. Heard the same crap. Penalties and coaching. They didn't like the fact that I brought up they were holding because we were beating them. We need to win some of these games to get respect. Until then we are still the down team that sucks

Same thing as FSU. SU poses no threat so its all fluff and windy walks until...wait...we give them a game. Then there internet manhood is tested.
