Go over to Tiger Droppings...

us LSU fans hate Tom Ritter. When his crew is on our game, we ALWAYS end up with much more penalty yardage than our season average.

Not all LSU fans. But I'll grant you "a goodly number" of LSU fans, indeed.

Can understand that. That hold though, in the second, by Ethan against Steven? That brought back a big Fournette run? That was legit.

Yeah, most of them were legit. There was one PI call that I thought was weak, and maybe one or two more I can't recall now, but most were pretty obvious.

All I know is...I hope we can play you guys again in another home n home about a decade from now. I talked to several I-95 living Tiger fans that loved seeing them play by car versus jet.

And the good news...we probably will have air conditioning by then

Not having air conditioning makes it easier that our players are conditioned for play in the much warmer temps in ACC away games. I figure we're sweating for the team's sake

Think I know which one you're talking about. Was a bit tipsy after the first half =D

most holds are legit. we all know that refs can call a hold on nearly every play, if they were so inclined. My deal with Ritter mostly comes from LSU-Bama games, where we get flagged for holding, and Bama does not for far more egregious holds.

Hell, in 2009, Bama went 10 games without a holding call. Ritter's crew was on 6 of them.

But, it's BAMA, and SABAN the MAGNIFICENT!

:rolling:

(not a 'bama fan)

Tigerdroppings is known for posters being huge over-reactors as a game is going on. There has been times when I've not watched a game but tried to keep up with the game through the game thread on Tigerdroppings, and due to the tone of the posts and the anger, I assumed LSU was getting destroyed. But then I'd look up the game score and they'd be winning like 17-7 or something lol.

So don't take it personal. They are hugely pessimistic on that site and overreact big time. Also, they don't really represent the fanbase as a whole.

Boomshockalocka on the Tiger Droppings board. He is a Rutgers fan. Ok??????
LOL, Boomshakalaka is NOT a Rutgers fan. He is an LSU fan. I know him very well. He's also a huge Houston Rockets fan. Even though that is a Rutgers "R" next to his name, he means for it to stand for "Rockets", not Rutgers.

They aren't quite as nice and cordial as they were before the game. That's what happens when you play the top teams tough, they get pissed off. One of them told orange in va to off over an innocent comment that our team is maybe better than they thought.

LSU fans believe that game was as close as it was because of:

A) penalties
B) coaching

Had nothing to do with the opponent that played them, it had everything to do with them. If (as an opposing fan) you say "hey we're pretty good" they say "BS, we would have CRUSHED you if not for..."

Sounds a lot like our Syracuse basketball board. It's always an SU issue, and never has anything to do with how the other team imposed their will.

They were kind because they thought we were a sacrificial lamb, and because we don't play them much. If we played them yearly and played them tough, they would hate us.

In their minds, regardless of the outcome yesterday, we suck, because we have sucked for a long time. I personally think this game says more about us, than it does about them. That's just me being a fan though I guess!

So who's their Igor?

This LSU fan is sorry if some of our fans appear to demean the Orange in some fashion. All teams fan bases have a few bad apples. I had the pleasure of watching the Orangemen beat Central Michigan the week before the LSU game and I was highly impressed. With no disrespect intended to Mahoney (he played great against the Tigers) I was really impressed with the trickery of Dungey. I hope he recovers soon from his concussion.

I knew the Tigers would have their hands full against the Orange and so they did. It is my fervent hope that LSU and the Orangemen both run the table from here on. Good luck to the Orange.

I was in a chatroom at http://www.tigalaya.com/ for a lot of the game. Those guys were way cool. Genuine concern when Steven went down.
thanks, bcubs. i heard you were in chat and were great to visit with. even tho that is the board i am on, i wasn't in chat for the game. since i am in tiger stadium instead of chat for home games, my superstitious side says i can't be in chat for away games either.
