Talk to me.

Haven't watched them much at all. Sabonis is nice. Wiltjer (Sp?) is as well. Usually a guard or two who are quick.

How are they this year? Not as good as past years right?

7 players average over 24 min/game
4 players average double digit points
Sabonis is shoots 61% from the field and avaerages 11.7 boards, fouled out 4 times
38% from the 3 as a team, 4 have attempted 100+, one other has 96
FT 76% as a team
Beat UConn by 3, BYU twice
Lost to UCLA by 5, SMU, St. Mary's twice, Texas A&M by 1, Arizona by 5, BYU by 1

#28 in RPI (!)

#16 in Sagarin (!!)

How were these guys only an 11 seed? Not that it matters now!

8-2 over last 10 including NCAA
They got in because they won the WCC as a #2 seed by beating #1, #3, and #7 seed.
Wiltjer is going to be a problem because he is 6'10" and shoots the 3

Wiltjer also doesn't see anything like our defense in the WCC.

They weren't safe at as at large bid according to a majority of the bracket matrix. For the first time in years they actually had to win the WCC tourney.

True, but they have size 6'10", 6'11", 7'1", 7'1" and they shoot the three well and have an asst/turnover ration of 4/1 as a team

They don't shoot that well. Average. Our 3pt D is really good. If they win it will be rebounding and paint touches.

They had a year something like ours. They had to win their conf playoff to get a bid.

None of that matters. They're just the next team in our way.

Better than we do. Their best and most frequent shooter is Wiltjer who is 6'10" which could be a bit of an issue. Nothing that can't be overcome. I agree with you on the inside game.
Wiltjer 86-199 43%
Perkins 46-122 38%
McClellan 34-100 34%
Melsen 32-96 33%

Sabonis is prone to fouling and if we could get inside offensively I think that could be to our advantage. Wiltjer doesn't do much on the boards for his size.

SU finished first in Baha, they finished 3rd. And i believe they lost a big to injury since then. But seriously will be a very tough game imo...

Roberson needs to eat in this game. No excuse not to have 11+ boards.
