I think it was a breath of fresh air. It wasn't too long ago our head coach was excommunicating beat writers and being overly-paranoid.

McD deserves some heat. I'm just not convinced that he calls every bad play. The article over on the Notre Dame site breaking down our triple-option plays was a great example of this. Did anyone read the follow up of how their D confused our QB into making bad reads? He deserves some heat but it sounds like our O is designed for the QB to make the best decision out of the 3 options he has - hand off, QB run, or bubble screen. I think it's clear that it's a combination of Hunt not making the best reads and perhaps McD not calling enough non-read plays.

I'll also add even if Hunt does the correct read - if the LB bites on hand off but DE keeps contain (so no QB run) - and Hunt throws the bubble screen, it's not only up to Hunt to make a good throw but the guys out there have to make a good catch and also block. Just seems too easy to keep roasting our coordinator.

Hopefully tonight we can get some TDs and everyone will be saying: *uck it, we won!

Okay but whoever called the pitch out of the shotgun in the end zone to Adonis tonight that resulted in a safety. That was an absolutely terrible play call, and the QB had nothing to do with it as no option was involved. Sorry but McD as an OC makes a good recruiter, maybe.

Article in the DO says Hunt checked out of the power run and into the toss sweep...yikes.
