Goodman & Parrish have SU #2

Can't agree with this one yet (I know I'm gonna get blasted) ... I am not sure what SU has done or OSU has not done to merit SU being jumped over OSU. Game results comparable vs. Florida. OSU just clobbered Duke by 22. Don't think the polls will reflect their opinion ... SU will still be #3.

I have no problem being 3rd right now. Of the top 3, OSU has the best resume to date. UK's UNC win trumps our FL win too. Not sure who UK's next best wins are, but I think 3rd is fine for now.

If they had us ahead of OSU all along, then this is perfectly fine. However, if they jumped us over OSU based on our 4 pt win over Florida (who OSU beat by a larger margin) and after they crushed Duke, then this is worse than any BCS mumbo jumbo.

I am so confused on 2 levels...

I thought Doyel hated us? I thought Parrish hated us?

I thought OE was sick? Hope all is well my friend. Good to see you posting after I read some worrying posts after I took a mini-vacation.

Ohio State beats FLA and DESTROYS duke.

Not sure what we have to done yet to deserve to be ranked higher... but whatever. the top 4 is hardly going to change all season IMO (UNC, KENT, CUSE, OSU in no order)

Nice that we get the recognition but OSU deserves the 2 slot right now.

Not sure if NC stays in the top 5. They have two losses now. Tough to justify them staying in the top 5 over any other team with either zero or one loss. I know they only lost to UK by 1 pt, but the loss to UNLV will haunt them for a bit.

LVille will move up.

They will be back soon enough

I think it will look like this:

1. Kentucky
2. Ohio State
3. Syracuse
4. North Carolina
5. Louisville
6. Duke
7. Baylor

Agree ... watched the game and the ending was horrible ... terrible coaching job. IMO NC could have won that game and maybe should have. UNLV just ran the legs from under them ... NC will be out of the top 5 and obviously Duke is moving downward as well. I see the top 5 as:

Kentucky
OSU
Syracuse
Louisville
Baylor

Florida and wisconsin drops ... but North Carolina will be back.

I really don't see how the UNC loss to UK can hurt them at all. If you thought they were the #4 team in the country before the UK game, they lose by a point to the #1 team in the country on the road, in a building they haven't lost in since 2009,isn't that what is supposed to happen? Why would you drop them more? Now the UNLV loss wasn't a great one, especially since UNLV got killed by Wichita this weekend. But if you already thought they were in a certain position in the polls, I don't see how losing by one on the road to the #1 team should drop them.

Just another reason that polls are stupid. But I guess they are fun to talk about.

They have had us ahead of OSU the whole season and they responded on Twitter saying they have had no reason for OSU to jump us.

Hey Marsh ... you have North Carolina moving up after the loss to Kentucky? I think Duke is right at #6 after getting their a$$es handed to them by OSU altho I think I will go out on a limb and say NC at #6 and Duke at #7. Altho Baylor hasn't really played anybody all their stats are in top 40.My off-the-wall prediction: Tulane breaks into the Top 25.

Phew ... you are talking about Goodman and Parish ... my bad. In the polls OSU has been ahead of us all season.

Well if you look at it, they really deserve it. At Kentucky and they lost on a last second blocked shot. Clearly they are better and more deserving than Louisville, Baylor and Duke so the question is who jumps them?

The only thing that could hurt them is the UNLV loss against Wichita State.

I still say based on the way they played at Kentucky, the pollsters will keep them at 4. No way in hell they leave the top 5.

Ohhhh ... I see what you did ... all these damn polls are getting confusing ... you are talking about the Goodman/Parish poll in which they have NC at 4 ... and I was referring to the AP/Coaches polls that had them at #5.

Harvard should be ranked for the first time in school history this week, will definitely give UConn a game on Thursday night, and if they somehow pull that out they'll probably go undefeated this year. I'm looking forward to it.

Yes sorry.

Harvard has to be ranked this week. Its a joke that they are not.

Didn't know UNLV had lost! Love it!! Hopefully the local talking heads here on ESPN radio will shut up now!! All they talked about last week was their win against NC. Which they claim was on a "neutral court"...even though the game was at the Orleans Casino, which is in Las Vegas!! May even call them up today and gloat...or at least text them!! After their NC win they go to UCSB and win in 2OT then lost by 19 to Whichita St.? Guess they will drop out of the top 25!! MUAHAHAHA!!

For me the jury is till out on Harvard. They have had 1 "quality" win against FSU (then #20) who has since dropped 3 in a row. They beat a UCF team that beat UConn but lost to FSU and are now 5-2 ... with no wins against anybody but UConn. The other "big" win Harvard has is against a very weak Utah squad (1-6). and ... they are sitting 192nd in p/g, 254th in r/g, 224th in a/g, and 101st in fg %. and they're going tolose to UConn this week.
I would rather see Tulane break the Top 25 ... 9-0 and sitting 104th in p/g, 85th in r/g, 48th in a/g,and 134th in fg%.

Regardless of the poll, not one ACC team besides the two top dogs will be ranked this season.
