Go **** yourself
Jim Boeheim just schooled you
It's called coaching, why would anyone get insulted by a pregame speech in a lockerroom?

For the 100th timeIt's called coaching, why would anyone get insulted by a pregame speech in a lockerroom?
Don't disagree with any of this, particularly if you are talking a once in a decade ACC tourney being held in Brooklyn - I don't see MSG giving up the Big East tourney for an infrequent ACC tourney.
But keep in mind that only 8 years ago several ACC teams with the help of the state of Virginia took VT to keep the ACC a "southern" conference and if good southern teams with a decent academic reputation were willing to join the ACC in 2011 it's unlikely they would have added us and Pitt.
We, along with BC, Pitt, and to a smaller degree MD, will be red-headed stepchildren from Yankee territory to the vast majority of ACC fans. Make no mistake about that. Fortunately for us, they are mostly wine and cheese fans so they will act with style and decorum for the most part while trying to keep us in our place.
Cheers,
Neil
ANYONE would go see it...you wouldnt just take in the hardcores, you'd bring in the casual fan. And then, all of a sudden, the ACC would be mentioned the same way the BE usually is.Totally agree.
1) Its NYC
2) There is more money to be made if it's in NYC vs. Charlotte or Greensboro (UM, Cuse, Pitt, UNC and Duke have a ton of alums there)
3) NYC translates into mass appeal...not just ACC country
4) The ACC expanded to include Cuse, Pitt and BC. It would be hypocritical to NOT want to enter into NYC because they want to maintain their identity as a southern conference.
