that guy can coach.

Vandy gave their critics plenty of ammunition. They did not look like a tournament team.

People rip that guy on here but he obviously is an excellent coach. I love his confidence and fire. That game was 30-30 H.

And something like 50-48 before ending up 70-50

It was 50-48 and vandy had a wide open 3 to give them the lead that they missed. 20-2 witchita st run from there to end the game.

Who rips him here?

I remember people not being happy when we were undefeated and ranked #1 in 2014 and ESPN had him in the studio anticipating a Pitt win [spoiled by Ennis's last second heroics].

I don't remember who but a few posters have definitely labeled him as a douche type because of his perceived arrogance. For the homers maybe that's all it took. A Pitt W prediciton from him.

He was actively cheering for us to lose. I've never seen a situation like that. Loved watching his team lose to Kentucky that year.

Regardless, he's a very good coach that built a very good program.

The story of this game was more Vandy's ineptness than WSU's shining. Marshall is good but in this game I think we should be congratulating him for having his team ready to play. Tonight that was more than enough.

Remember Pat Hill from Fresno St. football? His philosophy was play anyone anywhere. Marshall is the opposite. He whines and complains that power schools won't do 1 for 1 deals with them. Tough schlit!

Also he was on national TV trying to diminish our accomplishments. It was totally unprofessional. Think about any time you have seen that. Also consider how unseemly it is for an upstart relatively obscure coach to go on national TV to takes shots and tear down a 24-0 and #1 ranked perennial power program coached by a hall of famer. Just to agree to that scenario and then play it out showed him as douche level 12.7 on my scale.

Yeah he may be a jerk for all I know - just think his teams are very well coached. Not like he's parked in a basketball hotbed either.

Hard to forget his presser quote about "Wolves do not fret over the opinions of sheep."

I've wondered whether the seeding gang flipped their collective middle finger at him by putting 8-seed Kentucky in his way that year.

He's an ass. I don't care if he can coach. Coaching is a large fraternity. You might not like everyone but you either say something nice or nothing at all.

Can you elaborate on that a little?
