Noel will be making a mistake to pick G'town.

The fact is, Syracuse is a Championship contender for the entirety of his college career, & Georgetown will not be as good as us, with or without Noel on their team. Why would he jeopardize his notoriety by going to Georgetown?

Gtown has put more good big men into the NBA than SU and UK combined.

If Noel is good enough, he will go to the pros from ANY school he attends...

Syracuse has recently had a wealth of professional caliber guards, & not so much with forwards & centers.

Bottom line is his mom has met the GT staff but not UK or SU, obviously she would be more comfortable with GT at this point. So this guy could be correct. After the in-home visits this will all change and GT will go back to choice #3.

I'll say this, if the young man decides on Syracuse it will be a huge thing for us and him. He will get massive exposure at Syracuse, its a big time school, but its not so big time that he will be forgotten in 3 years like at UK. He has a chance to be a legendary figure here. At UK, he'll be forgotten behind 12 other 1-one-and-done lottery picks before he turns 20.

For our side of it - he has a chance to be gigantic, not just on the court, but in terms of program stability. With all this negativity surrounding the program, there is a real risk of it hurting recruiting badly. This is a major threat to on-going long term success. For a kid like Noel to sign at the height of all this would really stabilize everything and keep us on the upward tack.

This recruitment is huge in the hugest sense of the word.

The business about Bernie and the drugs is kind of overplayed, IMO. The Bernie issue is a wait and see deal and has died down considerably and their is weed or drugs everywhere at every college regardless of what is said by anyone, Kids smoke weed everywhere and most kids are exposed to it long before college, I don't really see a huge issue here. Parents don't honestly believe that one school is cleaner than another do they? I am sure some probably are but you will never get the truth out of any of these coaches. JB and Hop just need to do the right damage control and it will be fine.

Ricky and AO improved by leaps and bounds, they were just never NBA material but they absolutely improved a ton. Fab may have his issues but the dude improved more from one year to another more than any player I have ever seen. Rak is showing he might make that same improvement, in the same year dare I say. DC2 will be a bigtime talent and if we get Noel he will be bigger than Anthony Davis is at UK right now. The amount of exposure he will get at Cuse will be insane. UK can think all they want about the high and mightiness of their program. Noel will be a legend here and just look at the publicity Flynn got here, it was borderline ridiculous during the Big East Tourney.

And etan was as raw as raw gets when he came in, left as the all time shot block leader in the big east, sounds like he developed...

People think that if you go to Syracuse you will somehow forget to play man to man defense. It's as if you won't play it in 4 years here. Syracuse practices man to man all the time because... well... they play against it! Just because we play zone in games doesn't mean 100% of practice time is spent in zone. The team scrimmages each other every day, playing man to man. Last I checked, there are a lot more practices than games.
