Ha Ha Rutgirls!

You have always sucked and you always will! good luck in the B10

Sorry, but Rutgirls posts are just stupid.

They are playing a pretty good team a helluva lot better than we did at our place this weekend.

The day this board becomes de-infatuated with every other post about R******s, the better it will be. Enough.

To play pop-psychologist, the fact that you posted for people to stop posting -- and also called them "Rutgirls" -- just shows that you have as deep a feeling about them too. You just posted after they've shown well. I'm buffeted to post this by a six-pack -- and that I told a Rutgers grad this morning that Louisville isn't that good.

You could make the argument RU has more immediate upside than SU. People need to let it go.

I have a deep feeling for Syracuse Sports which is why I visit here.

God forbid I turn it to ESPN during the Giants halftime , see the score and visit this board to see a higher percentage of these posts versus ACC ones.

So...I am kinda saying I don't think you would be a great street paychologist.

Another pick by Nova. Really pulling for Louisville here but the Cards need to stop falling into the trap of Rutgers D/Special Teams. Literally every time Rutgers manages to pull off the one big play they need to stay alive. It's like Houdini magic. Same happens to us vs. Rutgers every year - you think coaches would expect that by now.

1) you state that you came to the board after seeing the Rutgers score; 2) no one would frequent someone who advertises as a "pop-psychologist"; 3) I like to see the Giants lose (that's with two Syracuse grads on board), but I don't need to post about it; and 4) you need to explain yourself, which my DeVry psychology degree tells me that you're compensating for being seen as interested in Rutgers.

Long story short: If you don't care about a subject, don't post about it.

It's only a game because lville can't get out of their own way. I think they've had the ball inside the 15 yard line five times and only have 3 points to show for it.

the stats are nuts it's like 500 yards to 200 yards. We had more yards against Clemson.

Thanks for the posting advice.

I'll stick by my original proclamation of protest against the plethora of posts on this subject. Thanks for sharing your viepwoint.

No problem -- it's free. But I just counted the last ten posts -- at 10:50 PM -- three were about the 'Ville/Rutgers game (you know, the only major college game on, and which a college football board might be interested in ... particularly if they have a past and/or future history with the teams); three were about the NC State game; and four were about the Giants, Shafer's behavior, etc.

"Plethora" -- a great, great word -- deserves more.

Edit: I forgot to mention that one of the "Rutgers" posts was actually about Bridgewater.

4 INT, 8 Sacks. Gary Nova supernova'd the girls chances. I know, I know they are irrelevant and we shouldn't talk about them. Just love to see them not quite get there. Again. BCS game, meet toilet.

You are a major league dork, bro.

Last year out SU gained them 418 to 237, 1o point turn on the blocked chippy FG in a 8 pt loss. Ugh.

I ended up watching the second half, and the difference between Clemson and these 2 teams is really eye opening imo. Watching Rutgers and Louisville reminded me of where we are right now. We are still a Big East team trying to compete in the ACC. I honestly didn't see much difference between us and either Rutgers or Louisville overall (Louisville has better receivers).

Rutgers has better WR's than SU, just poorly coached and used. For the nth straight year their run game and OL is a dumpster fire.

it sucks when that happens to you but I'm glad we're not trying to build a program around that smoke and mirrors horsesh!t

this is like the player celebrations when down by 4 touchdowns. Rutgers has no history, a half-aszed fan base, one of the weakest college towns in the country, and coaches who do bad things with the talent they attract. That said, they are going to have a good record this year, are recruiting better than we are and have been for years, and have momentum on their side in recruiting heading in to the Big-10. They also didn't get blown out twice already this season. They may well stink it up in the Big, but what are we doing so far...? It will be fun to gloat and talk about things returning to their historical norms if and when Syracuse is a perennial top 4 team in the ACC and Rutgers is bottom of the big-10 and we are getting 4 stars out of NJ. Until then we should just worry about our own team. I'm very optimistic medium term on our prospects and it's clear we can compete in the ACC with a bit more talent and seem to be getting part of the way there----but sports commentators and high school kids could give a fuuk about what we did 15 years ago and beyond. Lets support the program and get us back there - then gloat and make fun of our former rivals - who back in the old days were nothing more to us than a team to romp on at homecoming - like temple. talking about them so much belies jealousy and annoyance at their current success.

What a weird game for Louisville. I don’t think LVille played well but then you look at the stats and think how so? Bridgewater was 21-31 for over 300 and as a team they nearly had 500 yards of O. Their defense I thought was pretty darn stout. Buttgers can lull you to sleep and then score points in bunches where their passing game looks unstoppable but man LVille really shut them down. 230 yards and 10 points.

Don’t know what a difference if any missing their top wide out means to LVille but the offense didn’t look explosive – it’s efficient but isn’t going to wow you. I thought Bridgewater made a bunch of poor decisions and the redzone play calling was really head scratching. I’d be pissed about it if that was my team.

LVille defense is the real deal.

IMHO they’re a top 10 team but not a Championship contender, they’d get dinged a few times playing in the SEC or ACC this year.

Can’t wait for them to join the ACC. The ACC is going to be real tough in the coming years.
