In general, a perfect situation would be for Pitt to get drubbed so badly in every single game that the university has to sit down and say "what are we doing here?" and just cancel the entire athletics program. This would prompt the BoT to take a hard look at the entire school and ultimately decide to shut the whole sham down. The mayor would, in turn, start really evaluating the very need for the entire city, deciding in the end the best thing would be to raze it to save future generations. The governor would then do some soul searching...

Actually I have a hard time putting a hate on Pitt ... they are always a well coached team and even if they don't have the talent they somehow put up a good record ... altho they have worse problems than we do in the Tourny ... and they are now our ACC brethern ... I would rather save my negative emotions for G'Town and UConn.

I don't know what there is to hate about a future mid major school with little tourney success who we've dominated for ten years.

Well you could start with eye-gouging being a taught skill in the Pitt "basketball" program. As you said, yes they are well coached in it, but it doesn't make them any more likable. Georgetown has been on the fringe of relevance for 10+ years and UConn, as much as I don't love them, play actual basketball. I would rather have UConn than Pitt in the ACC by a galactic margin.
