1) SO MANY OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS for Duke. Cannot give them so many second chance opportunities.

2) Rakeem Christmas has not gotten involved at all. Some of this is because Duke is doubling him every time he touches it, but it's also because we're just throwing it around the perimeter and having trouble getting it to him in any position to score.

3) We can't hit a shot to save our lives. Our poor offensive execution is causing us to take some not such great shots, and even when we ARE getting wide open jumpers, we just can't hit them. Conversely, Duke has gotten a ton of great bounces on a few finishes. They're hitting, we aren't. When they don't hit, well, see point #1.

4) Turnovers. Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. Yes, Duke is giving it away too, but when they aren't, their hitting shots or getting offensive boards and second chance opportunities. We're turning it over, and NOT hitting shots, and NOT finishing whatever second chance opportunities we're getting.

Frankly, we should probably be down more than 9 right now. That was a terrible half of basketball for us.

5] Lots of missed scoring opportunities in transition squandered. Have to finish those since we struggle to score so much in half court offensive sets

6] Several of our turnovers have led to run outs / easy baskets for duke. Need to do a better job getting back defensively--whole team

7] We need someone to get it going from outside. Cooney, Gbinije, BJ -- somebody has to get hot to give our offense a shot in the arm

Not going to win with the amount of mistakes and shooting. This might be the worst fastbreak team ive ever seen. Not just syracuse or ncaa d1, i mean ever. We are so inefficient on the fastbreak, its baffling considering our athletes.

Why dont we go back to the pick and roll w g and rak. Thats how we started last game and duke couldnt stop it.

Problem with 7 is that everyone not named Cooney looks tentative to pull the trigger right now. Joseph is obviously never going to shoot, and even Gbinije looks a little hesitant to let it fly to a degree.

Number 5 is frustrating. Can someone teach these guys to make the defender commit and then pass it.

Okafor is catching the ball so deep in the paint Roberson or G have to help and can't rebound if he misses.
We need Kaleb to get some confidence he played like a freshman from
JV making his varsity debut and that kid has talent.
Offense is a mess guards are giving little. I give Cooney credit for driving more but he needs to make more outside shots.
Our best offense was missing a shot and Roberson cleaning up the glass and getting garbage points.

Cooney makes me mad but by the end of the night I might like him again.

turnovers fumble-itus. no physical slow it down driver who can create some plays, we might see some rak pick and roll this half to fix that, because okafor is a monster. I thought for sure today that rak would be able to do some more from further out that he didn't get to the first time vs duke, but okafor has been tough on d today.

Can we please play duke on the road first some seasons

Turnovers don't help but we aren't nearly athletic or big enough to match Duke at this point.

Playing a vastly superior team is exposing all of our flaws.
