Thanks all.
Just learned on Wednesday how close I came to expiring a week ago Tuesday.
A nurse who had been caring for me shared what happened, Suddenly I went septic. My heart raced to 145 BPM, my temperature went way up and five nurses were working over me until they could get me into surgery.
My doctor administered amnesia medication and then performed 3 hours of surgery to stem a fistula which was spewing toxins.
A priest administered the sacrament of the living and my family prayed.
That I'm lying here and able to continue the battle to regain my health is truly a miracle for me.
Family and friends made my birthday one of the most special ones I've ever spent.
Today is the 40th day I have spent at Crouse.
Not sure when I'll be released. There is more surgery facing me down the road.
I'm keeping a positive attitude thanks to the wonderful support of everyone.
Thanks again.
