Harrison and Freeney on CFB Hall of Fame Ballot

Looking back, it's pretty amazing that in 1998 we were 4th in the country in ppg. We averaged twice as many rush attempts as we did pass attempts despite opening things up a little more McNabb's senior year (passed a bit more junior year too).

In '98 Tim Couch had nearly 150 more COMPLETIONS (400) as McNabb had attempts.

Yup, it's wild. That's why I said I know it was a different era, but his contemporaries threw the ball a whole lot more still.

But hey, gotta get Kyle McIntosh his touches I guess.

And he was good! But not a transcendent talent like McNabb

Funny thing is that when you reach my age the seasons seem to run together, and memories become skewered. What I remember of Harrison's senior year was that he was the offense. His kick returns were our best weapon on offense, full stop. Harrison has to rank up there with our all timers.

The thing I remember best about Freeny was the night he got all over Vick in the Dome. It was one of my favorite games.

I was at Mercedes-Benz Stadium yesterday (close to the HOF). I would encourage you to make your way to Atlanta for the 2025 opener.

We’re talking College HOF…Marvin is in Canton…would be neat to see him in college hall too, but I don’t think his stats are good enough.

Dwight will get in college, but borderline for Canton.

Dwight is top 20 (18) in sacks. Will likely be passed by Aaron Donald snd maybe Chandler Jones.

Would be sweet to get him or Chandler into Canton as #9. Peppers being a contemporary of Dwight’s hurts him. Chandler may be the top pass rush guy if his era….him Von Miller, TJ Watt and Aaron Donald all up there.

Freeney should get credit for 20% of Mathis's sacks since he was blessed with single blocking while Freeney was constantly double teamed.
