Matthews had offers from Arizona, Missouri, Xavier, USC, UMass, Creighton, Iowa among other so he wasn't a bum. I just doubt he was an SU target if nobody here heard of us with him.

Never heard of him either. I do respect Dan Hurley and don't doubt he is making a major impact recruiting for the powder blue Rams, or whatever they are called.

I think it was Dave Matthews that Syracuse hoped was coming here to play. Wonder if the URI publicity dept just got it mixed up.
