Head Coach Hot Seat 9.13.21

Dino Babers is now at #2 behind Helton of USC.
Has Helton never not been on the hot seat? He has lived there. Ironically Babers to USC was always where I thought he'd end up. Now, absolutely no chance but I have no idea who USC turns to next. They seem to be spinning their wheels with Clay.

I thought Norvell would be higher after that loss.

Does the below from the article sound familiar?

"He also offers discipline that Helton's program seemed to lack. Only once since Helton arrived have the Trojans finished above 101st in average penalties per game. That's what drove fans crazy."

Syracuse under Dino-124, 84, 112, 129, 103 (this is generally out of 130 D-1 schools)

Scott Frost should EASILY be number one. I think Dino is comfortable at number 2, however. Scott Frost has to be number one. Blue blood program and that's what he's turned it into? I understand Helton in there at 1, but I think 3 suits the situation better.

He’s the golden child there as an alum and well known former player. It would be like no baggage McNabb returning with a stellar coaching history

Every season USC is ranked top #15, and every year they disappoint.

True, but he didn't make them what they are today. It's been happening for a while. He made UCF a power - he can't be THAT bad.

He didn't turn it into anything, he kept it as it was. Nebraska will probably never be Nebraska again. Maybe because it's in Nebraska and plays a tougher schedule.

Dude was so much better off at UCF.

He definitely should have stayed, but who would turn down that opportunity?

Be careful what you wish for! I think it's he got tapped and you cannot say no. That job seems impossible. He didn't go from being awesome to terrible, more at play.
