except this is a sport, not the runway or the rack at Macy's.I will not turn this into a giant fight (again). To me it's the most tired and basic opinion: That to emphasize orange, everything must be orange.
If the highlight color is bright orange on a neutral like white, navy, or gray - then the orange pops more and remains the primary color - because it's the brightest. Not the most in quantity - but the brightest and meant as important - due to the blandness of the neutral. Every designer is taught this in year one or two in every design program in the country. I got my degree at Syracuse, and was taught this...
and for the love of pete stop saying that everything must be orange, NOBODY is saying that.
in sports, we root for laundry.
and keeping the current laundry somewhat in line with what made one root for it in the 1st place, would seem to me to be just a little important.
not to mention it should be important for a school CALLING itself the ORANGE to acutally wear ORANGE.
plus many people are either watching on tv or part of the thousands that are sitting, likely well over 100s of yards from the players so to tell them that the Syracuse Orange are still Orange because the 1 stripe on the pants...pops, or because its the 'brightest and meant as important'...doesnt Fn fly here.
