Hey if it was up to me

Schiano used to do it to Gerg all the time.

Then Marrone showed up and pecker slapped him in the first matchup in 2009.

I'm just glad JoePa was alive long enough to see his legacy crumble. Terrible person.
Oh yeah how could I forget about Schiano and that smirk...

If I remember 2009 was the year Schiano brought up everybody on the team and had a bunch of recruits there as well? They outnumbered the SU sideline 2:1

That’s what I liked about Marrone I felt like he generally wanted payback.

Have to agree, was so happy to be at that game and close to the psu sideline. Always loved joe pa. He ran his team out with those high water pants and it wa electric in the dome. But in the end he knew of everything and died of a broken heart.

can’t find anything on that game

this will have to do instead

Not sure what sort of math you are using for the declaration in your first sentence as its simply not true. I suggest people actually go look at the 2018 roster and the dates of commitment of those players before they argue this point or call something a lie.

In 2018, our leading Passer, Top 3 Rushers, and leading Receiver in were all SS recruits. 3 of the 5 starting OL were SS recruits. On defense, 5 guys that started during 2018 we're SS recruits. Also, our punter was a SS recruit (he also happens to be in the NFL).

My math tells me 6 SS recruits started on offense (7 if you count Neal when Strickland was hurt) and 5 guys started on defense. That seems higher than 15% to me. And this was in DB's 3rd year as head coach too so there weren't many guys left from the SS tenure.

Certainly, DB had to fill out the roster (or we wouldn't have had enough players) and many of his guys contributed too, including Robinson, Coleman, Cisco, Foster, Guthrie, and K. Martin to name a few.

Below are guys who I reference above as the SS recruits:

Offense - Dungey, Strickland, Neal, Custis, Conway, Roberts, Adams

Defense - Slayton, Whitner, Cordy, Bradshaw, Frederick

Special Teams - Hofrichter

By 2019 the roster had actually flipped over and the 2019, 2020 and all future years are actually HCDB's teams in from a player perspective without a doubt.

If you go with the 2 deep? Are you including guys who Babers had to re-recruit when he got here (signings to his first class)?

I ran the numbers last year and couldn’t remember exactly. But the truth remains - you can’t say “mostly Shafer recruits” ... that is still factually wrong even using your research.

You don't like that I like option football? Cool dude
I hate option football. I had my fill of it with Pasqualoni, and almost regurgitated when he he ran the same play into the ground as opponents slammed the door on it again and again

Yes. I have strong feelings on the subject

Newsflash - The 2020 ACC only has 4 ranked teams and only two of them are on our schedule.
6 ranked teams. The most of any conference in the country

When the freeze option was run to perfection by the masters (McNabb, Graves, Philcox, Mason, McPherson) it was a beautiful thing. And, it gave opponents fits because they had a hard time preparing for it. You know, maybe...just maybe...
