The best part of that broadcast was the footage from the 1979 game in Orchard Park. Where did they unearth that from? There was nobody in the stands, makes you appreciate what that 1979 team of nomads did. Made and won a bowl by never playing a real home game, all on road or "home" games at Buffalo, Meadowlands or Ithaca.

Or losing a heartbreaker in the conference championship and essentially getting smoked in the first playoff game?

Call me crazy but the vibes right now are damned near perfect. Finishing the way SMU did wouldn’t feel nearly as good, even though they do get to say they made the playoff. We get to say we are building and are finishing on a run with momentum heading into the offseason and starting spring ball in a few weeks.
