That’s what she saidI told everyone early on that we eat cougars on Saturday nights.
96 was good too, I remember thoroughly enjoying that New Year's Day 41-0 beatdown of Clemson, I think it was the Gator BowlSurprised you don't have '92 on there. We finished ranked higher than '91, had the exciting game against Miami, and beat a great Colorado team in the Fiesta Bowl.
SU played two games at Rich. I attended one. I don't remember the opponent or the score. I remember two things. SU won. The ushers were the Buffalo Jills in uniform. The best part of that broadcast was the footage from the 1979 game in Orchard Park. Where did they unearth that from? There was nobody in the stands, makes you appreciate what that 1979 team of nomads did. Made and won a bowl by never playing a real home game, all on road or neutral sites...i.e., Buffalo, Meadowlands, Ithaca, etc...

Yup. I was in the press box that day. Also at the Meadowlands and Ithaca that season. And then Shreveport. The best part of that broadcast was the footage from the 1979 game in Orchard Park. A friend of mine was a Buffalo Jill while she was a student at Niagara University.SU played two games at Rich. I attended one. I don't remember the opponent or the score. I remember two things. SU won. The ushers were the Buffalo Jills in uniform.
Haha, i actually hope so.Special teams?
Just thought calling the guy an arse was a bit much. You’re free to have your opinionYeah I mean can't have a different opinion I guess.
I'd rather win a top tier ACC bowl then lose in the CFP in the first round personally.Honest question that maybe should be its own poll…
Which 3 loss finish would you rather have had? SMU or Cuse?
dominant Holiday Bowl victory and a 10-3 finish.
Or losing a heartbreaker in the conference championship and essentially getting smoked in the first playoff game?
Call me crazy but the vibes right now are damned near perfect. Finishing the way SMU did wouldn’t feel nearly as good, even though they do get to say they made the playoff. We get to say we are building and are finishing on a run with momentum heading into the offseason and starting spring ball in a few weeks.
You prefer the Holiday bowl over being in the playoffs?I'd rather win a top tier ACC bowl then lose in the CFP in the first round personally.
But that's me and I prefer bowls over the newer expanded playoff.

I'd love to read stories about that team. I've got a subscription to Newspapers.com, I've got to read the Post-Standard and Herald-Journal archives from that year.Yup. I was in the press box that day. Also at the Meadowlands and Ithaca that season. And then Shreveport.
That was really Band on the Run.
I prefer bowls over the playoffs model in general. You prefer the Holiday bowl over being in the playoffs?

I didn't see any eye roll. Watched it five times.Well an eye roll doesn't seem good guy to me so that's what I said
Was it between 1996-2000?A friend of mine was a Buffalo Jill while she was a student at Niagara University.
No it was (gulp) in the ‘70’s. That is 1970’s though. Was it between 1996-2000?
Asking for a friend.
Sorry, meant as reply to DinkyspondVery good offensive team led by Bill Hurley. Defense had some issues.
Just needed to best a poor BC team in last game to make the old Tangerine Bowl and completely laid an egg.
Shreveport was the booby prize but a win.

Oh wow nice...I was friends with 2 Jills while we were all going to Niagara. My brother went to Niagara in the late 80s and the little city was nice...when I was there 10 years later NF was a crack infested dump. But the University was still nice.No it was (gulp) in the ‘70’s. That is 1970’s though.
