You have to believe that Dino and his staff are preparing to throw their biggest punch (in a whole year) at Ohio in the first 15 minutes. I believe that they understand the weight of Week 1 on their season (and frankly jobs).

edit: I'll add that after looking at their roster for this year, I do think we'll win. But the fact that there isn't 100% confidence we'll win in year 6 is damning.

I have no idea how Massey Ratings are determined prior to the season, but they give Syracuse a 58% chance of winning. I expect this team to be favored by less than a touchdown.

Hard to get that extra W when you are so far away in your Ls. We got our asses kicked in 6 of the 7 Ls and had one W in OT. Plus this year's schedule is slightly harder IMO.

I dont expect a hospital ward on offense this year. Depth at QB. We had a fullback at G, and another oline hobbled - that still played. Neither would have, had we healthy bodies. No way that's happening again.

Young defensive guys will be prepared.

No way this is a Grob type season. Its going to look like respectable football.

We're beating Wake, BC, NC State, and Pitt. Maybe more.

Ohio at Ohio is such a no-win game for Cuse. Supposed to win by a few touchdowns. Frank Solich always has Ohio playing tough. Not a recruiting win (look where Athens is in the state of Ohio). If we are going to play a MAC game at a MAC facility, we'd be so much better off playing EMU or even NIU from a recruiting standpoint. End rant, lol.

I think I don't know how to look at our team coming off of weird-asterisk-covid season. 2019 was a real disappointment and it feels like a natural downward trend into 2020's awfulness.

Not sure it's deserved.

That ESPN FPI thing has us over them by 3.9 whatever that means. Essentially the same as what we are as underdogs to BC for what that's worth.
