That sucks man. One of my mentors at work took a sabbatical this summer to head home to see his family in Pakistan and give them a chance to meet his kids. It was the first time his kids would meet either of their grandparents and cousins and he was just so stoked for it.

He flew his wife and kids over early when schools let out and he went over in August when most earnings calls had passed. He said the 'risk-based' screening process was degrading -- he was a single flyer named Muhammed. Anyway, when you see what hate and ignorance really do to the average people it starts to hit home, even when I've never experienced it first hand.

Edit -- A lot of people will say "don't let them get to you" and things along those lines. But it, it's gonna ruin your night when you hear it -- when you pay good money to go to the Meadowlands to watch 'Cuse/ND the only person that should be ruining your night is our OC GMac.
