We have already equaled or exceeded everybody's expectations.

We are playing with house money, let's just see if we still have a couple of sevens left in us.

MSU is the 3 seed that can beat you when playing poorly, the others only when playing well. They were the 3 you dont want to see. they could beat us shooting 25% just by getting us into foul trouble.

Syracuse IS an amazing city for its size, but that has nothing to do with the face that JB IS old, and sometimes, yes, Frank is pretty bad out there.

Season has officially been a success given what we dealt with and the springboard effect that the tourney (and advancing) gives us for next year.

However, these threads make me cringe. A program like Syracuse Basketball should never be on that "house money" flow.

House money is a flawed concept . Once you win that money it’s just as much your money as the money in your bank account and should be valued as such . You think if the casino takes 10k off you they don’t mind you then winning 5k of it back ?

i wouldnt call it house money if we had thorpe, washington, and a healthy sidibe. but since thats not the case and we have zero depth i think house money applies here.

I am not sure why some of the responders to this thread seem to think that just because we are playing with "house money" that it means we don't want to win as much.

If anything, it gives me a sense, that we beyond expectations and that we can play looser and throw caution to the wind. We only have upside to add to the level of success that we have experienced this season.
