It’s a wonderful thing to see! He is hustling, rebounding, and just in general stepping up. He is the Benny we wanted and needed last year.

I think this is basically right.

Benny was a 5-star due to athleticism, but his skills were underdeveloped and he had [has?] a poor feel for the game. But he essentially got zero PT last year, so he was totally inexperienced when the season began, and has intermittently struggled and at other times looks like he's putting things together.

Who knows whether he ever lives up to the 5-star ranking, but I think in the main, he's performed net-positive. And his best basketball is ahead of him.

Sometimes it takes a little time to adjust to college level. I think he is doing great. A Sophomore with a ton of talent and starting to put it all together

I think he is listening to the coach and shooting when he is getting to his spot. He is shooting from middle to middle left only. That seems to be his range. Hope he continues to be active and show strong emotion when out there. That is when he is best. Still would like for him to be stronger around the basket, both offensively and on defence. I belive he will average 8 & 8 (pts/reb) by seasons end. Not too shabby for a 1st time starter. GO CUSE

You'll note that he only had one jump shot without some trajectory (i.e flat). That was not the case earlier in the year. Somebody is teaching him how to shoot.

Which also means Benny is listening. His upside is much greater if he is willing to listen to criticism designed to improve his game.*

So glad he stuck around when so many kids across the country bailed. Even more, being instrumental in landing Judah despite the fact it didn’t go well for Benny last year here.

The more his confidence grows, the less he’ll look over his shoulder and play more loose.

I'd like to see him develop like CJ Fair - reliable rebounder and mid-range shot, hover around the basket and turn garbage into gold. The 3-point shots will come later in his career. His play against Cornell gave me a brief reminder of CJ.-VBOF
