how bad is the big ten

holy crap, let me just take a step back here. rasheed sulaimon is a starter for the #2 team in the country. wait a second, let's digest that. rasheed sulaimon is starting for Maryland. sulaimon is bad, like not good, inherent loser type of bad. Maryland is not the second best team in the country, in fact they are melo trimble and a bunch of stiffs. the next best player in the big ten is the uthoff kid from iowa who I actually really like as a player. but let's be honest here. he is a good college player but would get swallowed up in the acc. big ten basketball is a joke and it is only getting worse. for crissakes Michigan is 8-4 or something.
If Michigan is a tourney team, I don't think we have anything to worry about here

Two Words:

Rutgers Basketball

Because twice out of thirty one times is good enough for (New Jersey) government work

Michigan St. will also be one of the elite 8 in March like always
Look for them in the same bracket as us.:(
If Michigan State had 12 losses they would still be ranked in the top 25. It's the Izzo halo effect from so much winning in March.
You'd think he'd thank us a little more publically. :(:(:(

I honestly wonder if they are ever going to make the tournament again. And with the new Big 10 rules, they may never make a bowl either.

If Iowa would have lost to Minnesotta at home then the OP would have looked decently smart. But they didn't, and BC did have a close nail biter with North Carolina just the other day.
what about Iowa losing to penn state instead?

Just as bad. Big 10 definitely seems a little down this year. They always have very good teams at the top. But what made them one of, if not the best conference was the depth all the way down to their lower teams. But the middle of the conference is not as good in years past. Which makes it worse that the ACC lost the challenge again this year.

I still think you are overstating how bad the Big 10 is, but recent games are at least moving things in your direction.

It's not terrible, just down and not nearly as good as the ACC this year -- but its top teams are certainly in a bit of a funk after Maryland losing to Minnesota.

I heard the big ten is the powerful conference.
