Considering 75% of the teams will be eliminated in the next four days, I think back to a lot of highs and lows. No sense in rehashing the lows but the one that sticks out for me (not counting the Cuse ones) was 2001 and Iowa State losing to Hampton. I had the Cyclones going to the Final Four and it just killed me.

For a long time, it was all picking Syracuse, but I have kind of evolved from there as the pools I am in have evolved as well. This year three teams stick out that I showed a lot more love than I thought I would (Duke, Wisconsin and Miami). It always amazes me when I actually do the bracket how it ends up. It really has more to do with matchups than anything else. Plus, I always do two brackets, so I do differentiate them a little bit.

In one bracket I have a final four of Duke, OSU, Kansas and Miami. Again, I don't necessarily think of them as the best four, but it's just the way it ended up. My other bracket I have Louisville, Wisconsin, Kansas and Syracuse. I think, at least in my eyes, that it shows that there really is not any dominant team and that there are a lot of teams that can win this.

Hopefully my teams can avoid any big upsets this weekend and put me in a good position for the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight. Good luck all.

I've steered away from my gut to "what gives me the best chance to win this pool" strategy in recent years. Results with the latter strategy have been far worse, so of course I'm sticking with it (ha, small sample size I think). I like to take more chances in larger pools.

I'm pretty adamant about Indiana & Florida on the one side. Just like them quite a bit better than everyone else there.

Think I'll be going with Duke (who many felt was the best team when healthy until a week ago) since everyone and their mother has L'ville. I mean L'ville may very well be the better team, but the overwhelming favorite they've become in a couple days indicates to me that Saturday night just inflated everyone's opinion of them.
The West is making my head spin. I've contemplated taking every team seeded 1-8 except for Kansas St & Notre Dame. Will probably go Gonzaga in smaller pool and New Mex in larger one.

I did my bracket and ended up with all Big 10 teams in my final four. So I started over and ended up with the same thing. I give up.

Duke going down to Cincy or Creighton ... Round 3 (round of 32) is going to see a few two seeds and at least one, one seed fall.

I got Syracuse winning the whole thing. Not even going to think twice about it. I love this team!

Hmm, that's funny. I have them in 3 out of 3 brackets. Feeling good.
:)
I always get ignored when I post my predictions or laughed at. Just saying Cuse is going to win the title this year. I feel I'm pretty good at predicting.lol

Didn't do one. It feels very strange. But something tells, me this year don't bother. Focus on the Cuse , and jsut enjoy all of the games. I have a few more hours to change that decision. Maybe I will do one on paper that does not count anywhere just to see if I get the fun first and second round upsets.

You know I picked Cuse 3 in a row. I won this way 10 years ago, and unless they lose a play-in game, I will be picking them every time they're in the dance.
I completely agree with your prediction.
LGO!

a lot of people picked them preseason, if anything Saturday just reminded them

I pretty much figured I lit the $10 I gave for our office pool on fire.

Fwiw, I have you guys all the way to the ff meeting Kansas.

You are going to screw up Indiana's dream season in a tight one and your game with Miami will not be as tough.

I've got the Cards meeting New Mexico on the other side. Best of luck to you!

Who's your team? Uncomfortable bracket. No clue this year. I have Cards cutting down the nets against Kansas. Miami and Ohio St. in F4.

dark horse teams would be Gtown Pitt Marq from the big east along with Memphis and VCU of course i have Syracuse winning the whole deal

There is no telling what is going to happen this year! I tried to be objective and look at each team and it is hard to not come out with IU or Lville or Duke or KU in FF.

On a funny note I always have my wife do a bracket. I don't tell her the seeds I just tell her the two teams matched up. Her FF was Gtown, Cuse, ND, and Lville. I can't imagine what conference she is familiar with!

It'll be interesting to see what the best-scoring brackets look like on ESPN, etc. on Monday and how in the world those people picked who they did.

Anyway, I feel horrible about my bracket. But as long as Cuse keeps advancing - and as long as my girlfriend doesn't beat me in our bracket game...again - I don't really care how ugly my bracket ends up looking. My girlfriend has beaten my bracket every one of our 6 years together on logic like "Oooo...their mascot is cute" and "They're too far north, and I hate the cold."

I think the Big Ten is far and away the best conference in the country, and my bracket reflects that. I have Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State and Duke in the Final Four.

(I hate most of those teams - I don't pick based on emotion)
