How much NIL do we need

And what’s all that big money bought UK lately? Or Duke for that matter?

Schools who spend less outperformed both the last two seasons.

We’re not scared of your X, Conner Hale. Do a follow up showing what all that money bought those programs and how that level of spending will be sustainable in 5 years with no results to show for it.

I don’t think anyone knows precisely what the numbers are. We don’t even know what Syracuse has.

My guess is we end up with around $12.5 million. That might just get us in the top 25.

My opinion is that we have no chance for the best center or point guard available, at least not where best means most expensive.

IMHO, we will end up signing a PG and a center in the range of 10th most expensive. We just don’t have the money to do much better.

The good news is, in the portal, price does not correlate perfectly with performance. Hopefully we make some good calls. Assuming Kingz does not return, we also need to put aside some money for at least one wing who can shoot.

And it looks like most of our bench players are going to leave so some money also must be reserved for depth pieces.

$12.5 million is a ton of money but not so much when portaling today….
“We just don’t have the money to do much better.” Do you know this for a fact? Is this based on inside info? I thought the whole point of hiring Gmac was that NIL was coming out of the woodwork for him.

“$12.5 million is a ton of money but not so much when portaling today….”
According to several recent Twitter posts, we’re not listed with other teams in the $10-12 million range. But several insiders believe we will be at least in that ranges

I don’t know if anyone can make definitive statements right now. The NIL figures and how much money various schools have seem incredibly opaque and may be alot of BS. We’ll have to see how it plays out and what top players we can compete for.
