A lot of people think Marshall Street is a dump now, but the garbage there is ridiculous. Saw these same pictures on the Syracuse History instagram page.

Siegel's, a sort of convenience/variety store. Coney's Island I think replaced a lunch joint that had been there for a long time, the name of which escapes me. The place with the porthole door was running as The Generic Bar (mural overhead by Jeff Davies, I think),

I used to get my Rochester white dogs there.

Saw Jorma Kaukonen there one night. He played White Rabbit and other incredible stuff. 3 Matts for $1. Tasted like it had iron filings in it.
