I’m assuming next year is JB’s last

My phone autocorrected but basically I was saying he wanted to take a cheap shot at something I didn’t say. So I will respond with the heat.

He overreacts whenever most players declare for the draft.
Maybe I do overreact with our guys leaving early Buddy is not one of them. He is a 4 year player I just found it funny that there was even talk at him making a NBA run this year. Not a shot at you btw.

No you weren’t kidding with how you said that.

Why is it ridiculous for Buddy to go thru the NBA draft process even if he intends to return.
All his travel is paid for by NBA teams and gets him feedback.
Because he isn't an Nba prospect right now.

Listen I love coach JB by it's time for him to move on and it's time for some new blood. It's pretty obvious we are never gonna win another title with him at the helm. people can spin it any way they want but it's not gonna happen, we can continue to be a bubble team and win a few games in the tournament, that's the best we can hope for

What was Jim wearing around his neck tonight? Life Alert?

if you go by what he said in his media blitz this week, as long as he feels good he aint even thinking about retiring.
Well, I don’t think he would put it out there for recruiting reasons.

I don't know if it's time for JB or not. I can't imagine a 76-year-old relating to 18-year-olds or whatever. But a small school in upstate NY that no longer has claim to it's brand (founding member of a monster of a conference in the old school Big East) may not get the replacement so many folks are eager for. It's shocking to me how many folks here think we'll just grab the next nate oats and start making final fours every year. That's a much tougher needle to thread than many think -- regardless of whether or not JB has lost some mustard off the fastball (which, arguably, he has).
I guess he is at odds with Jimmy and Buddy all the time.

It makes sense that JB retires at the end of next year. Buddy’s senior year. They both go out with 36,000 fans in the Dome.

Honestly, it is time.

False assumption is false.

JB literally just said it himself THIS WEEK:
He plans to keep coaching as long as he’s still winning.

I agree with others that these tourney runs are great but you are a bubble team for a reason and the chances of any of these teams cutting down the nets is very small. As much as I appreciate what he has done for SU basketball I'm ready for a change although we all know and need to accept he will probably be here until at minimum Buddy graduates and realistically that means two more season. He has a lot more work to do (as evidence see the game last night...most of the defenders in the NBA are as good or better than the guy who guarded Buddy last night) if the NBA is going to be a reality and likely needs two more years. Let's hope Benny is the real deal, we can keep Richmond, Edwards and maybe even QG and can also get an impactful transfer or two. I just think JB's lack of in game adjustment to things like lineups, playing time and defenses along with the fact that recruits and transfers will look at what happened to Griffin this year will limit the amount of talent at SU and hurt the chances of being a top seed in the tournament and the hopes of cutting down the nets. I think 2016 had a chance to win it all but I go back to the 2009-2010 year as the last legit NCAA championship team...damn if Onuaku doesn't hurt his knee I think we are dancing again.

What makes you think Buddy won't come back for year 5. His brother would be able to do the same thing. And their dad will be 77. they have to know that their time with him is going to be short. I wouldn't take any bets that next year will be his last. I also wouldn't take bets that we will be better off when he is gone.

Hopefully just 1 more season of the Doctor Dotage show.

i dont mind having another season or two of JB but i dont want a B. Bowden situation to happen here because certain teams in our region are already starting to close the gap
