I am predicting...

leave our lil buddy at suny buff alone, hes trying to get his post total up thinking we would take the insight of a 18 year old more seriously.

now if he has a crystal ball that forcasts how the school will compete in a new conference with likely a new coach for at about half of that decade, thats different.

what just happened too? has everything from 1975+ been all in my imagination??

Man, I will be really pissed if the last 40 years of SU hoops turn out to be just a flashback.

We've been dominant for years, and are led by one of the all-time basketball greats. The good news is that he has assembled a staff and program base that can be sustained for years to come.

I do feel that we may be in for an uptick in our normal dominance especially if JB coaches another 4 years. The team is very good this year and set up for not only excellence next year but stability going forward as well.as well. DC2 looks like 4 year guy and we have Obokoh another 4 years to anchor the frontcourt and Patterson/Cooney for another 3 to anchor the backcourt. Our studs in waiting program has two guys this season in BJ and Roberson who I predict will both be NBA players. Next year we may have everyone sans our seniors back plus a stud forward frosh and another very solid combo guard to the mix, if that happens we could be preseason #1 and will certainly be top5.

I'll say this if Ennis stays for 3 seasons we will win the NC at least one of those seasons.

what would you call the last 3 decades?
I predict utter dominance, the blue bloods will become jelly of the orange blood.

You must be a student. We have been a dominant program for decades
When I think of college basketball dominance I think of Duke, Kentucky, UNC and Kansas...the blue bloods.

I wasn't referring to the usual dominance, ass. I'm referring to the next 5-10 years. Yes, JB will likely leave but we have Hopkins in grooming...10000x than hiring a new coach or passing it to someone less experienced...or getting Marrone'd.

I'm referring to the future based on the talent we HAVE (Roberson, Johnson, Patterson, Ennis, Obokoh, McCullough, Gbinije and Joseph.) The talent that may be staying (Christmas, Coleman, Cooney and Grant) and the talent that we should/may add (a variation of Jones/Bryant/Diagne and whoever else, I love those 3).

I've been a Syracuse fan since the beginning, granted my lifetime (20 years) is probably less than some of you have been watching.

I wasn't ignoring the past 30 years. I just think what's great is we very well could still just be getting better.

Well the football team has been wearing blue uniforms...maybe we can join the blue bloods if the bball team starts wearing blue!

Glass half full, I like it.

You should lay off that orange cool aid you've been drinking...
I've actually been over indulging in Tyler's home brew Labatt today in wake of UB's game against Bowling Green. They're basically playing at Ralph to raise momentum towards a new stadium in downtown Buffalo that'd make a 2:1 with UB much more interesting in the future.

We are all going to wake up and discover that Syracuse Bball = Canisius and JB has been coaching the University of Rochester for the last 37 years

...and Iggy has coached SU into a perennial Patriot League bottom feeder
