I guess JB Forgot how to Coach again between Saturday and tonight

I wouldn't say happy, and I'd far from say mediocrity. More like understanding the pitfall, since I have ate, and slept basketball since age 4. I'm not saying that I'm some guru, and y'all know nothing, but come on. Look at UK, Duke, Kansas, Indiana, etc.

The expectations for our program are so insane, especially considering that JB has never, not once, had a losing record. But, all the sudden we have a board full of Igor's. May he rest in peace.

JB isn't hiding Kadary to play his son. Now that he's playing, it still isn't enough because Buddy is...hell if I know. He isn't playing Joe more because...well, I'll pass on even writing those excuses. With all that said, JB does have plenty of weaknesses.

I do wish we played man sometimes. Developed the bench a bit more. Have our guys more ready for inbounding the ball. And be a little nicer to the media. But, he isn't some feeble old man that forgot how to coach. College ball is arguably the hardest sport to win at, and he continues to do so. Sorry if 10-5 (4-4) isn't a sky is falling record to me.

I'll bite. When I look at 3 of those 4, UK, Duke & Kansas, I see schools that have been highly ranked come January, chasing regular season conference titles, high seeds in their respective conference tournaments, high seeds in the Dance, along with very good odds of winning it all.

We have not been ranked come January 1st since 2014. That alone should speak for itself. We haven't chased regular season conference titles since our inception into the league, nor have we been high seeds in our conference tourney either, something we were quite accustomed to in the Big East. It took us 5 seasons before we got our 1st ACC tournament victory, and that came against an average at best Wake team. Our overall ACC conference record hovers around .500, if you don't think that is mediocrity relative to our conference peers so be it, but that's your thinking and the minority view. We have been a consistent bubble team/double digit seed in the Dance the season's we have sneaked in.

No doubt that the 2016 miraculous NCAA tourney run was spectacular, albeit unforeseen, especially as a 10 seed. If you recall, many thought we were out of the Dance that season based upon our mediocre conference record, along with losing to Pitt 3 times that season, including the believed at the time ACC tournament play-in-game against them. That feat in 2016 seemingly masked the deficiencies we had then, temporarily, as now we are 5 seasons removed and nothing has really changed other than; the more things change, the more they stay the same relative to Syracuse basketball lately.

The context to what you bring up here is important; there are a lot of ways to get to 10-5 (4-4), and this is a pretty bad one. It's pretty clear to the majority of the fanbase (and posters here) that things are not good, and haven't been for some time.

The sky isn't falling (at this moment), but the stage is being set for exactly that.
