Well "the best center in the league" got schooled tonight by VT's Aluma for a 29 points, not to mention his 10 boards. So, a team (his) that isn't playing well enough to beat the likes of Virginia, is playing well enough to beat a Hokie team two days earlier, who later in the week goes on to dismantle the mighty Cavs by double digits?

It makes me wonder, does JB really believe what he spewed relative to UVA? If he truly did, than how on Gods green earth did we ever beat VT? Did JB think we even had a chance to beat the Hokies? I mean if he did, then how in the world does a team that we just beat go on to defeat a team that we have no chance in ever beating right now?

Perhaps, JB, it's you that failed your team miserably (again in this particular match up) by being lazy and unprepared. Or, perhaps, so frigging predictable that a coach the like of Bennett simply continues to school you and your predictability.

I wouldn't say happy, and I'd far from say mediocrity. More like understanding the pitfall, since I have ate, and slept basketball since age 4. I'm not saying that I'm some guru, and y'all know nothing, but come on. Look at UK, Duke, Kansas, Indiana, etc.

The expectations for our program are so insane, especially considering that JB has never, not once, had a losing record. But, all the sudden we have a board full of Igor's. May he rest in peace.

JB isn't hiding Kadary to play his son. Now that he's playing, it still isn't enough because Buddy is...hell if I know. He isn't playing Joe more because...well, I'll pass on even writing those excuses. With all that said, JB does have plenty of weaknesses.

I do wish we played man sometimes. Developed the bench a bit more. Have our guys more ready for inbounding the ball. And be a little nicer to the media. But, he isn't some feeble old man that forgot how to coach. College ball is arguably the hardest sport to win at, and he continues to do so. Sorry if 10-5 (4-4) isn't a sky is falling record to me.

We are a top 10 program of all time, shouldn’t we expect to finish in the top 4 of our conference occasionally? Maybe grab a top 4 NCAA seed once in awhile? That’s insane?

It just hit me last week when a really good poster wanted to quit because of the tenor of the board even after wins.

It’s not going to change. JB is going to do what he wants to do even if it’s highly questionable.

It’s up to the AD to do his job.

It’s not going to be much different next year unless JB gives Kadary a lot more minutes and we have a legitimate rim protector.

People can be optimistic but I look at the actual roster.

Unless Sidibe coming back reduces Buddy’s minutes it’s going to be the same. We need more athleticism on the court for the zone to be more active and cause more turnovers.

I look at those players and think we could improve. However that is believing some will not transfer and two they will actually get meaningful playing time. We also still have a gapping hole at center that never gets filled.

We’ve averaged 14 losses per year over the past 6 years. We aren’t bitching to bitch, we are bitching because the basketball has been really bad.

I just don't think you guys understand how difficult it is to win consistently. And we are basically in the damn snow capital of the US. I'm not trying to make excuses, but it is what it is.

We have the one of the biggest fan bases in the nation for college hoops.
Really close access to talent in Toronto, New York City and New England.
We have the first or second attendance nationally every single year.

We totally lucked out with Kadary & Woody being better than their rankings and better overall than advertised.

Frank is still TBD.

Benny is a stud.
But - like with Carmelo, we landed him before he blew up.

People are upset because we’re just not as good as we used to be, and it’s been nearly a decade since we have performed like the Top Ten all-time program that we are.

If there’s such a thing as a “bad W”, last night was it.
NCSt isn’t a great team at full strength, and were down their best player and another starter, and we needed a late comeback to eke out the W.

Pitt game 1 - down their best player (and several others), we were romping them, as we should have been in that situation.
But then allowed them back into the game, which we then lost.

The highly questionable coaching decisions being made, and the playing of certain guys massive minutes no matter how badly they are playing, are all infuriating.

And the rationalizations about why those players get those minutes, while other guys who can clearly contribute more, languish on the bench, are getting cringe-worthy.

I agree with your point but I know change won’t happen. If something won’t happen all it does is cause fanbase civil war.
Just like this guy 2 posts above thinking his post makes him right.
The other side doesn’t fight in fact they fight in narratives.

That makes sense in theory, but I still think these debates would break out in other threads.
